k my prob is that i cant get the damn black thing to come out. i already broke one lightbulb, and then i set the broken off metal part on the counter and hit the black peice youre supposed to remove WITH A FCKING HAMMER and it wouldnt come out. how the hell do i remove it with a SPOON?

omfg i hate that lightbulb thing lol, i can't do it!! i just sawed the top off with a knife, but i keep smashing the damn thing!!! i've broken like 5 light bulbs!!!! ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!

I held the lightbulb with a towel and used a hammer and a nail to break the black part until i could just use the nail to snap the rest of it out.

The websites I've found about building one says that the bulb can't be the frosted kind... Aside from the fact that you can't see the vapor, which could be a big prob... , is there any reason not to use it?

search the interenet for "pyrex glassware shipping".
the shipping thing is to make sure you find a place that sells it.

edit: the "frosting" on the bulb is a phosphorous compound... it
turns all the invisible light from the bulb into visible light.

fill the bulb with warm water and salt, shake it around, and the "frost" from the bulb will wash away.

Yah, I broke 1 out of 3 lightbulbs I've used. Anyways, I hit it with the back of a metal butterknife for awhile and then hammed a nail gently into it. That I broke it all out. The annoying part is all the metal crap.
