Hi.

I just bought a vapo bros vaporizer for my dorm room with a birthday discount and the first time i used it, i really dont think i did it correctly. We set it up, let it heat up for 5 minutes, packed some into the bowl (this is the hands free version by the way) and when we tried it, i rarely felt it going into my lungs and we rarely got any smoke. Am i doing this wrong or does anyone have any idea what works best with one of these vaporbros handfree vaps?

It should be packed lightly for even air flow.

Did you cut/grind it up first? Not really necessary but its more efficient to grind/cut it up.

Here what I recommend for heat spot, set it at 3/4 the way full or even half way and then adjust down or up until you find it.

Yes, there does need to be even air flow. Actually, with a Vapor Brothers unit, the herb does need to be ground up somehow for it to work most efficiently. The herb needs to be loose, not packed nugs This goes for pretty much all the whip style vaporizers. I own both a Vapor Brothers and a Vapor Warez.

That's normal. It's vapor, not smoke.

Good. Getting smoke from a vaporizer means you're burning the herb. You should get vapor though. I suspect you're hitting it too hard-common mistake. Your draw on the whip has a lot to do with the temp that's hitting your herb. Too hard a draw and you're dropping the temp too much. You may want to check out the 'vaporizers 101' video on youtube.

Now whats happening is the first few hits after ii load the bowl, i get "vapor" but then it stops after like 3 or 4 hits.

At the beginning, the vapor will be thicker, and you will be able to see it better. The visible vapor decreases as you hit the whip.

Do you stir it as you go? I recommend stirring about every 5 draws or so.

alright, so how many hits from the vap until i actually stop seeing the vapor come out? 4-5 sound normal?

Give or take a hit, or two.

How much do you load? How big are your hits? Just these two items, which vary according to the vape and the individual, make counting hits pretty much a waste of time. If you want to be sure you're getting the maximum out of your bowl, hit it couple of times after you stop getting visible vapor.
