I wonder if thats normal. Vaping gives s body high and smoking gives a head high and all my friends love vaping but eventually go outside and smoke a bowl... odd. Do you think its just the whole habitual thing...like addition to the process of smoking?

Also, what do people mean when they say that you don't get all cannabinoids when vaping? Do you NEED combustion for some cannabinoids to get inside you?

A friend of mine last night was like that too. He loved the whole idea of vaping, but wanted to load a bowl in his bubbler also. I dont know why since it was shwag and tasted like shit. I like to smoke bud if it is good shit and tastes sweet. I will always enjoy that. But I love the type of high the vape gives me. From what I have read is that the vape will not combust the weed so you dont smoke the shit that makes you tired. This is what your friend is talking about.

There are hundreds of compounds in cannabis. Any that you miss with vapor are insignificant for most people and are overweighed IMO by the toxins you avoid. For a smoker that says you're missing good stuff with vapor, ask how they're enjoying their doses of carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide with smoke.

If you're young, smoke doesn't bother you, and you have the typical feeling of youth- like you're gonna live forever and you can wait 20 to 50 years to give up bad habits, then most likely you're not gonna want to give up smoking. Plenty of people continue to smoke cigarettes, and there's no doubt that they're dangerous to health.

As for body vs. head high, I think that's way overblown. Both smoke and vapor use the same pathways in your body. If anything, I'd say smoke has more effect on the body, since smoke toxins, for the most part, sap your energy and one, toluene, is a solvent that causes dizziness as well as fatigue.

Not everyone likes the same things nor for the same reasons. Vaping is not for everyone but im glad it is for me

I think it at least likely that it has to do wih the process of smoking, though I'm not sure it has to be a habit- they just might enjoy smoking. I know I do. I smoke a lot, cigarettes, cigars, and pipe tobacco on top of pot. And I genuinely enjoy holding smoke in my mouth, tasting the full body of it, and slowly letting it drift out. It might be hedonist, but I still love it. Chances are, the oral fixation one can get from smoking would be satisfied by vaping, but vaping feels like smoking air- it just doesn't deliver the same kind of pleasure as the activity of smoking does (not talking about the high, just the activity itself).
