I just registered here to ask a question, maybe tokin or someone else can answer these. I'm from Poland, central europe and i want to buy SSV, but its long way from here and i don't want to pay custom fees (duty?) and vat, so someone from Poland that is now in US will take it with him, but i think it will be difficult to test it there, because it'll be 220v version (any tips on that, i know SSV are made like tanks, but who knows i want to be sure its working before i have to send it oversea for a warranty repair). What other things i should buy with SSV, so i'll be setup and don't need anything for some time - i'll take additional screens, whip and aroma top - do you think i need something else ? and what about ground glass, i see they offer SSV now with ground glass for 20$ more, with gg its hands free like DB so should i take or just stay with clear glass ? Last question would be cosmetic one, is there a way to get full metal black SSV ? I only see silver metal base, if i could get the same in black i would be very happy ![]() Anyway thanks for all your info tokin on 7th Floor products, i realy hope i wont regret money spent on that one (because right now in Poland, bongs and pipes are trendy, and almost nobody heard about vaporisers and benefits of using them, they even say its crazy to spend so much money on vap, but i think you shouldn't save on your health).

| ive never dealt anything with the 220v units, and honestly, i have a very very poor grasp of electricity. but i would assume that a place like radio shack(or some other general electronics store) would have an adapter to use euro minded plugs in our outlets. i am planning on heading down to the factory myself here real soon, i will be sure to relay the message that you will be purchasing a 220v unit and for them to take an extra step of quality control to assure it is defect free before final packing. honestly, i would stay away from the gg ssv connection. because of the natural angle that the heater cover sits(with the wand connecting at.....oh roughly a 45º angle) it would(in my mind, at least) be easier for the connection to slip and fall out. if you are thinking you may have a hankering for a hands free ssv, i suggest the attachment/slide that is made for the standard wand. you can see that slide in action if you watch through one of the vids(NOT in the one gram challenge set). ive never seen any of the aluminum bases in person aside from when they first started making them, and the only one i saw was the silver, but i am pretty certain they come in whatever color you desire. i can say with a near 100% guarantee that you will absolutely LOVE your new vaporizer. if you are any kind of serious smoker, it is impossible not to.

I agree with tokin that the $14 hands free adapter is the safer bet for long term hands free use. The SSV angle is great for convenience, but not GG friendly for the long term. With the 220V unit, all you'll need to do is install the AC plug that fits your wall plates.

Yea I agree, get at least a spare whip which as stated comes with the wand, mouthpiece and screens. I would even get some more screens as well. They last quite awhile and if you clean them buy using ISO alcohol they will probably last forever. The aspect on the 14 dollar hands free kid is one im personally not sure on because the vaporizer could be pulled over or more probably pulled off of something where a ground glass connection would slide out with that much pressure but I have Da Buddha and the SSV wand connection is at a different angle than Da Buddha so their is likely more merit that the GG connections will become less effective faster with the SSV than with the Da Buddha but I think its a matter of opinion based on ones personal useage and preferance. If I was buying an SSV, I would go with the GG connection. Even if it does eventually become less effective I personally feel the cost to replace the heater cover is insignficant to the benefit. With the 14 dollar or so slide things to make the SSV hands free without ground glass you will have to remove it everytime you want to remove the wand from the vaporizer. Pain in the arse factor in my opinion but a good low cost solution but as of today the cost for the hands free cover is around $28.00 and around $25 for a ground glass replacement wand or the whole ground glass kit with everything, heating cover, wand plus tube and a few screens is around $45. If cost is an issue I would go with the hands free slide and if you like hands free but not the slide you can always order the ground glass kit which is around $45 plus shipping. I believe changing the heater cover is not a big deal. Regarding the voltage, a transformer is what you want. Google 120 to 220 transformers and you should be able to find what your looking for. I recommend one that can be used both ways.

5drive: i didn't know about different plugs, i though that 220v versions are made with european plugs or something, but i don't think it'll be big problem anyway. About whip, i meant whole whip kit i remember tokin was talking about how his wand "broken" and second one saved the day and i realy imagine that could happen with stoned people ![]() tokinGLX: realy thanks for help with that one, if they check it before sending it, i'll be very thankful. i didn't know gg is so problematic, but i'll just take that hands free kit as you say, but didn't they test that gg connection with ssv before putting on the market ? beezleb878: i realy agree with you on that one, i've seen that slide hand free kit in action on some clips, and it didn't look apealling to me at all, but i think tokin know what he is talking about. If someone was using SSV with gg connection and know how good this works, please write few lines here ![]() Whats weird i'll be pioneering vaporizers locally, haven't heard about anybody using them here i'm sure more people will be willing to buy one after trying mine ![]() PS. can i use that discount coupon "paul" ?

For me its ease of use. I tend to be typing, watching tv or doing something while vaping so the hands free really works well with my style. I think its a matter of how your style best applies to it. I would think that those who dont use a hands free connection probably get a better feel for its literally hands on and as such their attention, more so early on, is likely focused on that. Im sure they know when to stir best or if it adjust the wand a bit for a better draw. I was hoping to see someone talk about that aspect but no one has so it may be me just surmising that. I think those who prefere the non hands free are the peopel who are more purist at heart and/or is simply what they started with and it has become second nature to them to the point it out values what the hands free offers. Heck I just got a new home enertainment system and im having a problem learning the freaking remotes hehe. I believe its a matter of preferance that is in correlation with an individuals style.

5 Drive, I think hes wanting to buy a 220v and have it tested in America by a friend who will also be bringing it back home to Poland with him so he needs to convert from 120v to 220v as 220v is what I am assuming they use in Poland. If I am correct he needs a transformer unless he can get a dual switch but I think its only offered as 220v or 120v
