Great post. I just contacted him for pre-order. I have two questions: Is this heating wand better than the Steinel Heat gun? And does it work well with the VaporBat?

Chupa, the Steinel heat gun is definitely outdone by the VHW heat wand. While I loved the heat gun for it's LCD display and ability to hold it's temperature, you get thicker, milkier hits with the VHW. I believe the main reason for this is because the Steinel is fan assisted and somewhat thins out the vapor. I do not own a vapor bat and am familiar with the way it works. I don't see why the VHW wouldn't be able to take the place of a cigarette lighter from a car but I think Mark at VRIPtech could give you a better answer. As an owner of many vapes, from the SSV, i-inhale, Vaporfection, Purple Days, Evolutions, etc etc, I think the VHW is hands down produces the cleanest vapor and also is a bargain. You can pretty much get a full set, VHW, VCB intake, and glass water pipe for less than 300 and it out performs pretty much every vape if your criteria is an all glass vapor path. I wish they were already in production so the rest of you can experience what I have had the pleasure of experiencing for the last two months or so.

My wife are first timers. We don't want to smoke so hearing about the wand (not as expensive as the Steinel gun) is really good news. We will vape soon.

Chupacabra - cool name BTW, didn't they think they caught one on tape running in front of a police car not too long ago? Anyhow, welcome to vaporizing! You and your wife made a great choice switching from combusting to vaping and your body will definitely thank you for it. While you have many good choices on the market, I can re-iterate enough that you definitely chose, IMO, the best vaporizer on the market regardless of price and even better, get a nice little discount with the product launch. Another good forum you might want to check out is www.fuckcombusition.com for more vaping info. I will be shortly uploading a video the VRIP VHW in action, stay tuned!

i'm so freakin glad i found this place, i was thinking of pulling the trigger on a supervapzilla for my first ever vape, from the reading here you guys saved me. the vrip is the way i'm going now, i'm very leery about fumes off of heated plastics or anything plastic for that matter. i work in the industry making plastic parts and am very familure with the different raw materials used making these parts. all the raw materials are hazardious one way or another and has material saftey sheets attached with it, when they come into the plant. the dust from that stuff will never leave your lungs once it makes its way in to them. the number one selling point to me is all glass even if it sacrifices performance, which from what i read it doesn't. i most likely will wait for the new 007 kit to come out before i leap..

Gak Hater, welcome to the forum! I personally think it outperforms the Steinel heat gun because it is completely lung powered and the VHW makes a tighter seal with the intake. I am going to be adding this inline ash catcher to my waterpipe as I was told this not only makes the vapor even milder, but supposedly it will make the vapor even thicker. I'll let you know when I finally get it. I cannot say how much ease of mind I have knowing that the air path is 100% glass. I am sure the heat guns are safe, and although my personal research had reassured me they were safe, I was still using a heat gun. Now with the heat wand, not only is it easier to use, but the taste is even better and the vapor thicker. No bags, no whips, just fresh, ice cooled, moisturized vapor hits, can't wait to get the inline! ![]()

| I would definitely recommend the vrip wand after hearing you only wand all glass. I believe the vrip is capable of being one of the best if not the best vape of that type. I really like that it can used on pre existing glass which is a big selling point I think for new vaporizers who wont really want to give up their glass. Keep in mind an adapter of some type might be needed depending on sizes and I dont know how to go about that but for many its a great step into the vaporizing world.

Beezleb, thanks for adding your 2 cents. Until VRIPtech comes out with bowls that are straight GonG, you will need to use an adapter to allow for the 9mm or 12mm old school slide stems. Honestly, I have used GG joints for vaping before and I don't think that they add a lot of performance (ie thicker vapor clouds) but I would still like to one day be able to just drop the VCB into any gong bong that accepts 14 or 19 mm connections. That will be sweet!
