When filling the unit, how can you tell if its full? The butane seems to shoot and spurt out pretty darn quick, like under 5 secs.

I thought I would update everyone, my second Iolite that worked well for a bit ended up being just as big of a piece of shit as the first. I hate this vape, it's a fucking waste of money and DOES NOT WORK CONSISTANTLY! I feel alone in this matter, as everyone seems to enjoy their units so much. I am shocked, and I guess I will send it in eventually, but its such a pain in the ass I'm about over it. I should have smoked my $250.

Besides, you get higher smoking weed, rather than using the i olite.

Yeah, with vapor you miss out on all the toxic smoke byproducts that really make the high worthwhile.

When you smoke, the extra "high" you feel is lack of oxygen and carbon monoxide/dioxide from the combustion process..

When you vaporize or cook with it, you get the "real" feeling of what it actually does and not the extra "other" high u get when you smoke..

All 3 ways will react differently with different people.. You might be a smoker for years, then try a vape and hate it since you are used to the "smoking" taste when you hit, but some people can be the exact opposite.. To each his own..

I boiled the tubes, the screens, the bowl and the peg, basically everything besides the unit itself in hot water for a while and was able to get way easier hoots after that.
This thing makes my head go lighht.

I wouldn't boil any vape parts personally, especially plastic ones. Alcohol, cotton swabs, and pipe cleaners will do a better job. What you boil off in water tends to coat the parts and end up making them kind of tacky.

As I boiled the plastic/metal pieces, the residue floated to the top of the water in little patches, and boiled away. Some even left a spray pattern around the pot. which i cleaned up quickly.
I did use the pipe cleaner that came with the iolite, but im definitely buying more at the dollar store.
Although boiling did not eliminate 100% of the residue, it was satisfactory. It did not appear to coat anything once boiled.

My 2 cents... I've had the iolite for the weekend. The good, bad, ugly, pretty... I'm trying to figure it out. From my experience, the high is different than from a bong or any other "fired up" method. I don't know if it's just in my mind or what. I place my finger over the hole on the mouth piece while it heated up. I can't tell if that makes a difference or not. I don't know if I'm doing it right. i have been putting in some expensive hydro ground up pretty good. I'll heat the unit up and have been lightly inhaling what I imagine is a little vapor. I leave it on for about 10 minutes and I assume it's cashed out after that. When I empty it out, it's a little darker than when I put it in. I can't tell if it's really done or not. I've got a lot piled up from what I've emptied out of the bowl. I'm not sure if this is something that I'm going to just prepare and nurse like a coctail for 10 minutes at a time? do i keep sucking on the thing longer than that? I don't know the trick. On a scale of 1-10 - I'd give it a 6.5 to a 7. I've never tried another vaporizer before but this one. I was going to buy a temperature controlled Vapor Brother's vaporizer but the girl at the counter suggested I consider the mobility of the Iolite. I could have paid about $50 less on the wooden Vapor Brother's whip style vaporizer. The moisture part thing has been removed. Maybe it's just a little buyer's remorse. Any advice on how to properly use it from A-to-Z would be great!! From the type and moisture level of the herb, to the putting finger on the hole or not, to the length of time to wait to take the first inhalation, to the time between inhalations, to the time i should give it till i turn it off. I could use the tips on anything to do with this unit or if I'm better off getting a different one.
