Yes the vapor high is a little different. You lose a few compounds that provide analgesic and sedative effects, so a vape like the iolite, with a fixed temp, probably isn't the best choice for med users who need all the pain relief they can get. But any vape, using the low to mid vapor range, cuts out or greatly decreases the toxic compounds that you get with smoke. Those compounds are mainly sedative in effect. Carbon monoxide, for example, affects the body by shutting it down. A little is good for couchlock. A lot is good for a trip to the morgue.

After 10 min. it should definitely be done unless you're packing it hard and full. It should also be very dry, to the point where you can crumble it into powder.

You don't really need the moisture condenser, especially if your herb is dry. Even if it's not, the condenser just helps cool the vapor.

You're not gonna get lung buster hits from the iolite, but you can get some very nice ones. Watch your draw speed, since heavy hits draw in a lot of cold air and you can lower the vaping temp too much that way. I get sufficiently wrecked using this vape, but then I'm used to vapor. It can be a big adjustment if someone is used to taking bong rips. I'd suggest looking at some iolite vids on youtube. Might help you out. It IS a good vape. If vapor is your 'cup a tea', this one will do the trick.

i know that there are a few posts about this but i think that i really want to get it i have the money and i am a teen and i know someone that can buy it for me. it seems really awesome, anyone that has it i would love to hear from you. but everyone i know just smokes blunts and joints and prob doesnt even know what a vaporizer is, so i would think that having a vape would make me an oddball that is the only thing holding me back. o and do you think that the price will drop next month or so
