Free Volcano

Howdy. Been a while.

I was going to report this some weeks ago, but it was too great to be believed, so I nearly did not believe... but I just had my inaugural hit, and 'tis true. Said hit was a full bag, and only about 1 min ago.

I won a Volcano Digit in a contest held by Treating Yourself magazine (TY). A really great magazine published in Canada.

Anyway, they had a contest some time back -- I may have mentioned it, but may have forgotten -- and the grand prize was a bunch of Roor glassware; second prize was a Volcano Digit. Idly entering, I briefly fantasized wouldn't-it-be-great-if-I-won-2nd-Prize... and forgot about it. Though it is a cliche, I've never won anything in my life. You get the picture.

I've been dying to *try* a 'cano to compare with my recently purchased, and much-loved, SSV. Now I **have** one! And for free (or, actually, for knowing the name of the city in which Roor has its workshop).

I'll have to try it some more to determine whether it is my new favorite. Right now, it is -- but then, it is new.

The bag (w/ the easy valve system) is certainly less cumbersome than the SSV. But, I don't mind such encumbrance: it is a bit like a physics or chemistry experiment and I'm a chemical engineer so have a certain affection for that.

I'm not sure I can write much more. Those little smilies are very distracting. And, I can't for the life of me recall what I was about to write. This is a real treat to finally recapture the awe of being a beginning smoker, after some 30-odd years.

They retail at about $670 (per the literature that comes w/ it; I'd never bothered pricing one).
