After the last time I cleaned this I took a piece of the wand hash and put it directly on the screen without anything else (before I heard of your tincture method). With the wand clean I was able to watch the hash bubble and the vapor form. Coolest thing ever.

One thing to keep in mind. The fumes, in addition to being hazardous to your health are incredibly flammable. If you choose to boil the alcohol off be prepared for a sudden fire. Even if you've done this a few times and think you know what you are doing, a fire can quickly and easily establish itself.

Do not attempt on an open flame stove or near any open flames what-so-ever.

A better way (although costly) is to use pure ethanol or atleast 70% ethanol. Everclear is somewhat dangerous to your health because in order to dry out the last few % of water benzene(a potent carcinogen) is added. In fact any source of 100% ethanol should not be consumed.

I want to thank you again for the ideal of using the same iso over and over again. A dirty whip really bothers me and I started using this method and it has been so nice. I do not have to sacrifice my wandhash or my clean whip. Now if I could just find a way to keep my tubing clean without risking inhaling alcohol or cutting a new length every couple of weeks.

Sorry to rain on your science experiment here, but there is a much simpler way of harvesting your wandhash - just put the relevant components in the freezer for a short while. Then take them out and use a scraper thingy of some sort (as pointy as required) to simply slide the stuff off clean. No iso, no mess, no dangerous fumes, no fire hazard. And you'll get a nice, moistened, non-sticky lump of wandhash that you can mould in your fingers.
