I've always noticed that if I put my hand in front of my VB boxvape, i feel virtually no hot air coming out, but as soon as I take a small draw I can feel heat coming out. I always just thought I was imagining it.. good to know

Phedor Hybrid Vaporizer - Home
Check it out that's pretty much what you are talking about. I owned one and in my experience it was not that good plus it was more expensive than my vaporbros. We basically ended up using it as a fancy lighter that needed to be plugged in and it eventually broke. But at least I didn't have to inhale butane

Also you would need the bowl to be covered by the lighter. Otherwise the weed would just fly out when you directed the hot air at the bowl.
