|  Possible invention?  Couldn't you theoretically use this on a pipe or bong? You would use it exactly like a lighter, except you would just be vaporizing it through your pipe instead.. Is this a possible invention? It's not really a vaporizer, but it turns your bong, pipe, etc. into a vaporizer. Portable.. battery powered..

| There are several products on the market that provide hot air and turn ordinary bongs into vaporizers. The Vriptech heat wand is one of them. AFAIK, they're all electrically powered. The problem with a lighter-based one would be temperature control. Butane is going to burn at the same temperature no matter what you do. |

| you could possibly get an electrically heated ceramic tube and pump air through it im not sure how small you could get that while it still being effective... maybe if you make it a ceramic coil with air pumped through to catch enough heat to be able to vaporize bud... but again, how small could you get that just brainstormin

| If you're just aiming for a heat source that will vaporize a bowl instead of combusting it, you can buy the overpriced Phedor, or just strip down a cheap soldering iron with a ceramic heater and use that. Hakko irons work well and are cheap. A lot of people have used this method.
