I took apart the whip and wand on my DBV and I'm letting the wand and the screen (I don't have any new ones) sit in 70% Iso (does the extra 20% matter at all?)

It's in a bowl kind of thing with alcohol filled to above the wand.

How long do I have to let it sit for? And is there anyway I can speed up the process of letting all this alcohol evaporate? I used about 1/3 of a 32 FL Oz bottle, like I said before, just enough to make the wand completely submerged.

why let it set in alcohol, just take ur stir tool u got with it, bend the tip a little bit so u can scrape the vapor hash out..

take the wand apart, take the screen out, blow into the wand slowly to warm up the wand, then use the stir tool and scrape it out.. no alcohol needed

King Kong, you and RookieSmoker had some argument in another thread about this.. Get over the fact that some people want to get their wand COMPLETELY clean instead of scraped clean

i get mine completely clean to, i scrape all the good stuff out, then i run water threw the wand, use a fish tank tube cleaner and a twists of the brush and the wands clean...

It seems like, to me, there's waste when you scrape it. And like others have said, scraping it really doesn't get that "brand new" clean. I've scraped my wand before, I didn't get a lot out of it that way, and now I'd like to try this method which seems to be a little bit more popular.

It's been sitting for about 2 hours. I want to let it sit there for at least 4 or 5. After that, I was thinking about dumping the alcohol into something flat so I can get more surface area, and then put it in my room and turn the fan on and let it evaporate.

I've never done this before and I'm not really sure if I'm doing everything right. I've also never smoked anything that's been in alcohol before so I want to make sure I do this right as I think smoking wand hash with alcohol still on it could be hazardous to your health.

Also, I like the stir tool I got and I don't think bending the end just so I can scrape out the wand is something I really want to do...

you should be shakin it up too, to help get it all off, letting it just soak isn't going to clean as well.
The alcohol should turn a brownish clear color.
Once the thing looks nice n clean, take it out of the alcohol and pour the alcohol into a flat glass or pyrex dish, and then just let it evaporate. Last time i did it on my oil dome, i left it for like 2 days before i touched it. (a fan would speed it up), then take a straight razor and scrape up the goodness. Will be kinda runny and very sticky.

Thank you very much sir. It's already starting to evaporate. It's taking a while though. I have a fan aimed directly at it about 2 feet away. The only thing is, it REAKS of alcohol in my room. It isn't harmful is it? To have Iso evaporating in my room and me just sitting here breathing it in? I have a window open and the fan is a big one put on high.

Also, how do I know when it's done evaporating? This business of using alcohol is making me paranoid I'll fall ill smoking anything made like this because I won't do something correctly.

You can get your wand (or anything else) perfectly clean of the vapourhash, without wasting any of it, and you don't need alcohol of any kind. Just put your piece in your freezer for half an hour, and the hash will slide right off with a butterknife - it couldn't be easier. And you get a nice ball of non-sticky-finger putty-hash. And vapes up like mad of course.

you should be able to tell when its done. It wont be liquidy at all, and be very sticky to the touch. And yeah, you should let it evaporate in a well ventilated area, the fumes could make you light headed and not feel good.
