I am new to this board and I have ben reading the methods of use section alot, and I see allot of people talkign about theese vaporizers.

What exactly are they. I went to a few online head shops and it looks like some sort electric thing, with a bowl on a platform and a galss jar to go over it. Then has a hose coming out like a hooka. Does it just heat up the weed? Does it make smoke?
Does it not smoke up a room and smell like you have ben smoking? how does it work?

I am just curious I have ben smoking for a couple years and have ben around it for awile but have never heard of theese things, or seen them in head shops. (well i guess I could have seen one and not known what it was)

Any light you could shes on this would be great!

What the vaporizer does its heat up the weed to its like burning point and causes the weed to turn into vapor. So it makes no smoke just vapor. Meaning its a much healthier way to use marijuana. I think they are used a lot more with medical marijuana users just cause they are using it to get relief and dont need the damage that smoke does.
Ive built one using a soldering gun and a plastic bottle and it seemed to work pretty well. It smells different from smoke and has a strange taste u sort of have to get used to but its ok.
Personally i still prefer bong hits but if u want a healthier way then u should try that.
