Default Can You Re-Use Vaporized Bud?

I use marijuana as medicine and have recently got a Vapor Brothers vaporizer and I absolutely love it. I was able to try it before I bought it and with the help of a friend, decide it was the best thing for me as I have Asthma. (one of many illnesses) My question is this....does anyone else here use a vaporizer, and if so, do you consume the herbs that have already been vaporized? I am wondering if people might have new ways to consume those since they don't need heated. Thanks.

Moving to Methods. And no, you don't consume the bud that has been vaporized, as all the THC has been removed. That's the point, in a nuthsell, of vaporization, to remove the THC without burning the vegetable (plant) matter, which can be harsh.

I've got a VB as well. I've been saving the "residue". I'll roll up a doob and see what happens. I'll be back with a report shortly.

EDIT: I smoked half a fatty of "residue". It didn't taste very good, kind of like smoking sawdust. I can get off on a couple of hits of this bud normally. Half a fatty produced a buzz like half of one hit and not a very pleasant buzz. I'll have to be really desperate before I smoke residue again.

Does that answer your question?

according to the guy who sold me my vb vaporizer, it takes out about 90% of the thc. so if you start with really nice buds, the leftovers should still have a fair amount of thc in them. i save the leftovers and use them for cooking personally.

I suspect the VB, if set to the right temperature, does a kind of fractional distillation. I've found that I get a Sativa-type high even from Indica-type bud. Smoking the residue is the other side of the equation. I'm feeling heavy, sleepy, fatigued, and kind of stupid. All the stuff I don't like about Indica-type weed in concentration with none of the cerebral elements I do like.

I have a VB as well. I really like it- the vapor tastes good and it's healthier than smoke. I've been saving the "vapo-bud" to use for canna-butter. I have a pill bottle filled up and may use it soon.

I think it would defeat the whole purpose of using the vaporizer if you're going to smoke the vapo-bud. It tastes bad and you end up putting all those carcinogens into your lungs anyway.

On a related note: I think I may have found a trick for getting an extra hit. When I get no more vapor, I knock out the bud on the counter, then put it back in. It gets a little more crushed up by doing this when I pick it up between my fingers. This usually gives me a small hit.

I would never smoke the left over vaped bud, but I have consumed it. I got a great body high from it and that really helped my pain. I am just looking for new ways to consume. Peanut butter isn't bad.

VickiFL:
Do you just mix it in with Peanut Butter? If so, have you eaten this sober to see if it has any effect? How much do you use?

Sorry, when you said, consume, I thought you meant that you smoked it.

Default Interested in cooking.

Thread's been a bit quiet lately, but I have a ?

When using the vaped weed to cook or eat with, people seem to be getting high from it. Are we talking about completely exhausted, brown, dry, vaped weed, or weed that's been enjoyed once before in the vape but still has some fight left in it... Enquiring minds want to know......
