The Merck Index lists the boiling point of delta 1 Tetrahydrocannabinol as 200° C (392° F)

Purified cannabinoids were noted to boil at 150° - 180° C. (302° - 356° F) by Wood, Spivey, and Easterfield (J Chem S, v lxix, 539) in the 20th Ed. 1918 U.S. Dispensatory.

Vaporizers give you cleaner highs , probably because you don't inhale all sorts of bad chemicals, like you do when smoking a joint or pipe....I find it harder to make distinctions between sativa and indica strains, when i use my vaporizer...eh but yeah youll get the cerebral high you want.

Hello. I posted earlier about the vape temp of cannabis, and have consulted the html page referenced by others expouding the Merk Index. The last time I vaped, I set the temp to 333 F degrees--got me baked on herb I used once before!!! Yea!

Tomorrow night my folks are leaving for vacation, so I will have time to vape at my leisure. I plan to reduce the temp by 30 F degrees to see what happens. All effects will be promptly reported back here.

as mentioned previously, that's how offtopic drug users smoke up pretty frequently... i wouldn't reccomend having that piece of paraphernalia around where it could be found.

I doubt you'd get in any more trouble with a lightbulb with THC residue, than you would with any other weed pipe! It's not like they (LEO) are going to bust you for being a 'off topic substance'-head...when none is found in the bulb!

i would have to agree with poon and niteshift would help out greatly although i do not think he reads the method of use threads

i don't know really, but this is what i do know..

you can use a candle, it works quite nicely, and doesn't use up fuel like lighters.

if you put the flame - candle or otherwise - up on the lightbulb, it makes it black but f*ck it, it gets black anyways, so do it and make it go faster, i'm not sure what the hottest part of the flame is but the past few days i've been using a bic and putting it so that there is a blue flame on the bottom of the bulb... and i get it close, the flame covers an inch or more of the bottom, and it gets it going pretty fast. just wipe that black crap off with a napkin when your don'e, its not too hard to find the weed with the black stuff once you've hit it a few times.

my strategy is just to let the flame sit until i see smoke rise, it sorda curls towards the big part then goes towards the metal piece... then i give it one or two little shakes to move the weed around. that seems to make it smoke more once its started smoking.

i've been keeping the cap on and then screwing it off when its filled... i made a cap but i lost it and i don't want to take the time to make another one, just use a straw to suck the vapor out.

last night i filled it with a hugeeee bowl, and it was so f*cking good, it was as good as hydro with some schwag, so i'm gonna start loading up some bowls*2 and toking, i didn't even finish smoking the whole thing... that was just me noone else, so it should be straight with 2 people, i don't like using the bulb with 4 or more people.

i don't know about toxins or anything...

i've also dropped the bulb twice once on the concrete, and its still in good shape, so maybe when its time for a new one you might want to test its strength with a couple of tests, just don't forget your findings

oh yea the big bowl i used, it was so wet feeling, it was the best smoke i've ever had, i'm not sure if i got the bulb wet before or if it was the weed, but it was such good smoke i am remembering inhaling it right now, and it makes me want to go smoke
