I doubt it'll get hot enough.

Water only needs 100 deg C to boil, THC needs (i believe) 180 degC. I doubt the hotplate would get that hot.

It's a small metal pot that you put glue sticks in for arts and crafts.

I think the one I saw heated up to 180 degrees. MJ needs about 186 I believe, so I'll be looking for one just a TAD hotter!

Yeah I've always had crazy little ideas like that. My mom put one of those glad fresheners(The ones with the big glass thing full of liquid) in my wall upside down, so I had to clean up the mess while I was stoned... I wondered if I could open it up, change some resistors in there or something and use that at a little vaporizer. The plastic may not be able to handle the heat, but if it could then it would be an awesome little toy! Just need's an extention cable and a few little mods.

I'll look into those hot glue pots too. I'll ask my mom if she's making any crafts sometime soon and I'll hide her glue gun or something. lol

The old school way is the hot knives trick.

Just heat up a knife so that its glowing red (best with butane torch). Take the knife out of the flame and wait until it quits glowing. Have the other knife prepped with an amount of bud on the end of it. Place the hot knife on top of the bud. You will hear sizzling and what not. Immediately after you do this hold a 20 oz coke bottle with the bottom cut out over the sizzling bud. huff the fumes.

This is tough to do and I have never tried but thats how it originally started I believe.

Ya, I don't think the coffe pot gets hot enough. It's under 100*C because the coffee doesn't boil. But it you modify-ed it a bit

I heard someone say the a old hair-dryever element is use-able. Don't know if it's hot enough though.

Hmm. That reminds me, I have an old saudering iron, its partly burned out so it might not destroy my weed, but vaporize it. Cool.

Hi & welcome me to CT.I come from HC.
Awhile back ago I was perusing through this Methods of use forum & saw the Light bulb vaporisor.I thought,Damn thats ghettoliscious!I gotta make one.So I did.It was so hella harsh & nasty that I just had to try it 5 more times
Now the first time wasnt so bad i thought,cause I was already stoned to the bone.But man,what I did wrong?Check mine out.I kinda think yall are just joshin with this thing.Its HARSH!And it aint my weed,thats fine.What yall think?

There is a name for a light bulb vaporizer. I forgot what its called.

Actually I could be wrong, this is the same way [Mod note: Off topic substance.] is used so it could be called something different when you use marijuana in it.

no dude it doesn't just crack it EXPLODES. believe me! there is a huge pop and pieces of glass and weed go flying. but since the part you're heating up is facing away from your eyes it isn't that dangerous. i'm just sayin be careful, if you use it a lot, give the glass a little time to contract between uses, otherwise it'll keep expanding the hotter it gets and explode.
