-hey i lost this thread- okay heres the easiest way to make a vaporizer. The materials you need are: ALUMINUM FOIL, 2L SODA BOTTLE, LAVA LAMP, WEED. This is how you build it. Take the glass top off the lava lamp and take the bulb out. Wrap the aluminum foil around the light bulb and make a bowl making contact with the light bulb, so the light bulb heats the foil. Now take the 2L soda bottle and cut in half. Take the top half with the cap on. Now fill the bowl you made up with some really crushed, fine weed. Now take the soda bottle half and slide it tight over the lava lamp leaving the cap on. Turn on the lava lamp and wait a few minutes until the chamber is fills with vapors. Then open take off the cap and clear.

I did a search and couldn't really find what I was looking for, so if this is a repeat then I'm sorry. Anyway, I built a vaporizer yesterday but I'm not sure if it worked correctly. I got a soldering iron and unscrewed the tip from the end. Then I got a thimble and drilled a hole in it and but a screw through that, then through a mason jar lid and then finally into the end of the soldering iron. When it's all put together, it looks like a soldering iron is stuck through the lid of an upside-down mason jar and the mason jar has a hole drilled through it for getting the stuff out. I ground up some weed as best I could (it wasn't a powder or anything, but pretty broken up). I plugged it in for about 10 minutes and could tell that the inside was starting to smell more and more like weed and some condensation was forming on the inside of the jar, but I never saw any smoke-like vapor. I don't even know what it's supposed to look like. The soldering iron is 25W @ 120v. I got it at radio shack. The strongest one they had was 40W and the weakest being 15W. Does this setup sound good? How do I know when it's working? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Hey guys, I was thinking about picking up a vaporizer off ebay...Just, I was wondering, is the high the same? Do you get the same rush you get when smoking a joint or hitting a bong? Or do you get more a mellow high? I love my lungs, but if I'm not going to get the same high, it doesn't seem worth it.

I'd assume its the same high as what ever kind of bud you bought, a vap isnt going to change that though I havent tried one myself so I can't confirm, but I dont see what it could alter. Oh yeah, and I heard when you hit a vap it gives off almost no smell, can anyone confirm that?

I've got to imagine since theres not nearly as many chemicals being released, the high is going to be effected...I'm just trying to find out wheather it's in a positive or negative way.

I've used one a couple of times before but had always been so stoned that it was difficult to remember how much it had effected me. As far as I am aware, the vapourisor is the healthist way to smoke marijuana, but I would prehaps relay on what more experienced smokers say!

Ok OK!!! this is my idea for like a cheapo depot vaporizer that works great.
First make like a nice little bowl from soem foil or thin, workable metal. Shape the bowl with tall sides so you can close the end to make like a mini pot oven. In this hole/bowl put the bud and get it kida moist, like add 2-4 drops of water. then close it up at the top so the buds in like a nice coccon of the bowl, and now light the underside of it. This will cause the water and thc to boil and evaporate. this is where you inhale and it will be a very nice sweet hit because its the vapor!!!

now i just thought of this as i wrote, but that little bit of water mite not get all the hc so maybe try adding some drops when you no longer feel youre inhaling the steam and heat it again. if you think you still cant get it and still have some greenery left in there, open the top so it like a normal bowl again and just lighe what you ahve like normal!!!

What do you think? how can we modify this to make it better?
