| I've bought a VaporBrothers vaporizer and have been using it for about 3 weeks. I still questin when the weed is done and has no more THC to burn off. Ive been stopping when the color is yellowish or brown to dark-brown. Am I burning the "garbage" once i let it get brown or darkbrown? Or is that ok. Thanks in advance for any help! ![]() |

| Unlike burning marijuana, vaporizing returns smaller and smaller amounts of cannabinoids with every pull on the hose. You're never going to get 100% of the cannabinoids out of the weed but you can get damn close. When you think it's done it's probably not. As an experiment, put the whip down when you think the weed is exhausted. Come back later when you're not high anymore and try it again. You may be surprised to find that you get high off of that "exhausted" charge of weed. Pulling on the hose after you think the weed is used up isn't going to hurt anything. The air is not hot enough to hurt your lungs and the low temperature of the hot air is not going to evaporate any "garbage" from the weed. The worst you can do is suck up clean warm air. When to quit is up to you. It all depends on how much "work" you're willing to do to take in smaller and smaller amounts of cannabinoids. Are you willing to settle for 95%? 99%? 99.999%? BTW, be sure to use your pick to stir up the charge after every pull or two. Moving the weed around exposes new bits to the hottest part of the air stream. Since I got my VB machine a few months ago I never smoke at home. Vaping is so much better! It's a better high, it doesn't hurt my throat and lungs, and the weed goes twice as far.

| Yea ...I love this baby...The high is definitely different...to me it seems more "crsip" and sharp...I'm not sure of any other way to say it. Knowing how much better it is for your health just makes me more enthusiastic about it. It's a shame, I wish i came here earlier. I've been dumping the weed before it was done. I thought that once it turns a light yellow its done. Thanks so much for the insight you guys! Since im learning all this on my own, its great to have other people with more experience to help you out once in a while! Many props to everyone helping on this site. Take care! ![]() |

Make sure you set your temperature to about 392 degrees farenheit. Any higher and you will start to get the more toxic invisible gases such as benzene and carbon monoxide which we seek to avoid by using the vaporizing method. The reason 392 degrees is important is because the Merck company did testing of the vaporization point of the desired botanical ingredients of many substances and found THC to start turning into vapor at that exact temp. Their list is long. For example, they found that the vaporization point of nicotine in tobacco is about 200 degrees farenheit. There are different temperature degrees for various herbs that will release essential ingredients without having to burn the material and create unwanted smoke. | |

| I have never took a hit from a vaporizer before, so I was wondering if you cough at all. (assuming you cough sometimes when you smoke from a bowl). Also, what is the best bang for your buck when it comes to Vaps.

| The concentration of the vapor depends on how potent your weed is and how much you put into a load. If you get it concentrated enough it can make you cough - a waste of good vapor, in my opinion. I like the VaporBrothers and VaporWarez machines, either of which can be had for around $130. They're both very sturdy convection vaporizers that'll give you a lot of service. You can get fancier machines that cost a lot more but I don't see how they'd give you a better high. "Digital temperature control" may appeal to people who have to have the fanciest gadget on the market but once you find your ideal temperature setting a plain old rheostat does the job just as well. |

| Vaporizzed pot? Dead? Never! I actually have been saving my vaporized pot in a little jar. When it comes that time when my sack is gone...I just turn on the vaporizer and reload the brown weed mix to it. The hits that you get aren't close to a fresh hit, but you still pull quite a bit of a vapor. I have over an eighth of vaporized pot, and I still get quite a bit of hits from it. And yes, vaporizers make you cough. It's an intense sensation when you load the vaporizer a lot, but it doesn't irritate the lungs or throat at all. I quite enjoy a huge vapor hit and coughing. The vaporizers (at least the good ones) REALLY make the flavor of the bud come out...even more so than smoking. I have tried a volcano vaporize and I must say that you do in fact get a lot higher, and it is amazing at the ammount of vapor a small bowl can produce. However, with a price tag of $500+ one wonders if it is worth it. I have had my vaporbrothers vaporizer almost a year now...and if I had an extra $500 to spend I wouldn't mind picking a Volcano up. They conserve pot like no other...and get you ****in baked. |
