Yesterday I was too lazy to find a pinch of weed for the vaporizer. I had a big roach at hand, so I decided to break it down and vape it.

Big mistake!

The vapor was so strong that I coughed up a lung. It tasted like burnt rubber. It did not produce a pleasant high.

To top it off, the tar from the roach didn't vape completely. Instead, it melted all over the inside of the whip and clogged up my screen.

Please read this warning four times. The great god Shiva, He who danced the universe into existence, once said, "Four-warned is four-armed!"

Being four-armed would really help when you need to replace the screen in your vaporizer's whip!

Tell me, did you really think that a vaped roach was gonna taste good? Or did the voice of laziness just calmly yet sternly coax you into this forbidden pleasure? Silly rabbit

But hey, I've done worse I am sure.

I had no reason to think it would taste bad. I've been smoking roaches for 38 years and while they are stronger in taste than the rest of the joint I'd never noticed that they tasted bad. If they had I wouldn't have smoked them. I reasoned that, since roaches of more than a quarter inch have high concentrations of THC, smoking roach material might get me high. I still think that was a reasonable hypothesis.

Where I went wrong was in thinking that the cannabinoids would vaporize and leave the tar behind. Part of the tar vaporized, creating an irritating/choking vapor, and the rest melted and gummed up the whip.

Without experimentation we would never learn anything. Experiments that don't produce the results we expect/prefer teach us just as much as ones in which we get the results we anticipated.

Hi Buzzby,

Thanks for the information. The only reason I haven't tried it yet is because I haven't rolled one since I got the vape.

Can you tell I love it? I've tried smoking out of a pipe but it has gotten too harsh. This has helped me in that I don't smoke anywhere my vape isn't.
