I bought my brother a vaporizer for his birthday. We used it, but I dont think we had the weed placed correctly. The instructions that came with the Hot Box are a little confusing. I was wondering if anyone has one that could give me a pointer or two. What would really help is pictures.... thanks!

I don't have a Hot Box vape but I use a VaporBrothers machine, which is similar. You put some weed into the end of the whip, press it to the hot air source on the side of the box, and inhale. I'm not sure if it works exactly the same way. The VB whip has a screen to prevent the weed from being sucked down the hose. Does yours?

you should have a whip.. and the box with the coil... break up the weed on the table, take the whip and just breathe it in into the vape.... this is because it will hit much more smooth and even than breaking it into the whip..... if i need to draw a picture out for you since i dont really have pictures... the weed will be resting where the screen is on the whip. then holding the whip upright put it on the coil and start breathing in slowly.. now you wont really be getting a massive hit, the smoke is much thinner than actually smoking it. but keep pulling until you feel the slightest hint that you cant take anymore in then pull the whip from the coil and clear the smoke..... good luck with the vapo

Thank you both! I think we were doing it right (it sounds like). I think we were just paking too much in the bowl (it didnt seem to burn very evenly)!

The makers of the VB machine recommend that you fill the end of the whip no more than 1/3 full.

yeah man. if you want to pack more , then go get a hands free whip, which has a considerably bigger bowl. but even then Ive noticed, you get the same amount of hits, just more dense ones.

Loading more into the whip is counterproductive. The part closest to the heat source gets hot and vaped. Deeper layers don't get hot enough. You have to stir up the charge to expose weed that hasn't been vaped yet. I've found that you don't get all the vapors out of a big charge as completely as from a small charge. At least the residue from the large charge never got as brown as the residue from a small charge.

With a vaporizer similar to the VB model (the one I have) I would always recommend using the highest quality MJ available to you, and then only use a pinch in the vaporizer (literally a tiny pinch). Once the small amount of material is depleted, assess your level of highness, and add another pinch.

Your vaporizer will dramatically increase the number of times you can get high off of the same amount of weed, vs. smoking it. Very economical, not to mention that it is a more passive act than lighting a bowl/bong. Schwagg works great in it too, but it will require much more weed, fill the charge 1/8th full of schagg. (1/8th the way from the screen to the tip, not an eighth of an ounce) And sit back, relax and inhale. After several inhales take the whip away from the heat source, stir it up, take a few more inhales, and repeat until no more inhales are possible.

Vaporizing is completely different from smoking, it takes more time to get high, and many more inhales than hits.

My suggestion, Plug it in, turn on the TV to your favorite show, inhale as you watch tv, it will be great enjoyment, and by the time your show is over you will be sufficiently high!

i pack my whip 1/3 full. i use schwag btw. Anyway 2 bowls get me ripped. im inhaling right now lol.
