THE VAPORCANNON

Last monday I ordered a "3th gen" Vapporcannon hands free mode to replace my very crappy BC type vaporizer. I ordered directly from VaporWarez, and got it delivered yesterday - on friday, JUST in time for the weekend The total of the order was $228,55, including a shipping charge of $34,05, which is worth it since I couldn't wait - and didn't HAVE to, long!

For referrence, the order included:

Everything was well packed and arrived in perfect order.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

After unpacking, I found the machine itself rather ugly. The wood isn't very nice looking, and it all looks a bit handmade. That's probably because it IS handmade (I guess....)!! Still, it has a no-nonsense look and feel, and I don't doubt it'll do its job well. Longevity might be a factor though. Time will tell. The heating element, whip, glass and accessories all inspire confidence though.

FIRST USE

A tip: if you're trying your first vapo, don't be ripped beyond believe before you start... I couldn't even figure what side to put the herb, above or below the screen in the glass handpiece. Even though it seemed the only way to go, putting it on the side where the heat goes seemed odd, because the heater is under an upwards 45 degree angle, so putting the whip on it can make some fall out. Putting it on the draw side of the screen wasn't nice either, since drawing too hard gave a mouthful of bits. Noob!



So, I mailed Vaporwarez in my hour of noobness. Lo, within one hour I was educated and ready for a second try, putting the weed under the screen, where the heater goes. Making the bits as small possible (by hand, not by grinder), I toked again, ftw. Got some vapor, and a very light high. Experimenting with the temperature and drawing speed didn't really help. And bits kept falling out.

Disappointed, I gave up and went back to smoking my shorthand pipe of dark hash *COUGH* before passing out in relative bliss. Thought that maybe it was the weed, which was kinda old and dry; I usually smoke hash in the pipe because there's so little smell, and what smell there is is only reckognized by other heads; this was just some two weeks old skunk.

THE DAY AFTER

The next day I got to the best of three coffeeshops in a 200m radius around my house and bought 4.2 grams of White Widdow. Having been coming there for a while, I got the nice, fresh stash which gives those fat, wet joints which everybody seems to hate but gets you... there. Love it.

Using the grinder on it, I put a nice dot into the handpiece. Instead of little dry bits this is more like roughly chopped parsley (I think it's called?).

Took a toke...

THE HIGH

As probably has been said on this fine forum before, the hit you get off a vapo isn't at all like that off a joint, or straight pipe or waterpipe. Knowing shit all about anything at all, let me describe what I mean: getting stoned off a joint is feeling heavy, zoning out on pretty lights, and nodding to a tune. It's chill. Getting high off a pipe is different: no tobacco, just THC high and some stonedness if you smoke too much.

With a vapo, it's a straight high. It's a trip. Just two tokes have got me high up to the point of...ehm doing this ranting review. I've seen peeps almost panic off a straight hit, and the vapo is more of that. If you never smoked without tabacco, get with Arthur Dent and DON'T PANIC!

CONCLUSION

So, with the munchies up and coming, let me just end with: the Vaporcannon is a fine, fine, vapo, the peeps that sell it are heads. If everything we hear about vapo's is true, it's much healthier for you than smoking. I've got bad, and chronic asthma, but don't want to be without toking. A vapo is the way, and the Vaporcanon is a fine example of one. If you have the bucks to drop and have been thinking about vapo's, this is one for the shortlist; mine included both the Silver Surfer, for comparable price and features, and the twice as expensive übervapo: the Volcano.

PROS: (relatively) inexpensive, spare parts can be ordered directly, ceramic heater, hands free model pretty comfortable to use, and above all else: it works!

CONS: it's a knack you need to pick up - if you can, have it demonstrated by a retailer, takes some practise, no more than adequate build quality, bits can drop out when taking the whip on or off the heater

hey man honestly i would have to say thats the first time ive ever read anything that long on this website, maybe it was cause i was smoking a joint that was a little to moist and went out once but im always smoking when i read this site,

but it was a good thing that you wrote it, cause i was gonna ask on the forums about vaporisers and if its worth getting one, cause i havent tried one yet and i just would hate to spend $220 and not be satisfied with the product. cause at the headshops around here u cant return items(theirs probably not too many headshop that will allow that, i guess i should say that)

it sounds like it worked good for you, the guys at the headshop always say its good, but sometimes you dont know if the guys are just trying to sell some stuff or being honest,(you get the odd guy that is honest)
