| hey, i was wondering if anyone has tried to smoke a joint of vapourised weed ? (meaning does a vap. leave ANY THC in the weed?) and could you make a vapouriser from smoking out of a pipe (lit from the bottom) like an opium pipe, or a crack pipe ? (no i dont do opium or crack) | |

| To answer your 2 Q's; 1. You should not do this. There is NO THC left in used vaped weed. And it tastes like sheet! 2. Kind of, but there's no temp. control so you still end up burning weed and wasting it. I got a heat gun at sears and a bowl for it at: http://vriptech.com/ Lovin it aww yeah!

| cool so i could use a really hot hair dryer to vapourise hehe, but i doubt they get hot enoughwould i beable to do the glass idea, but if i very slowly heat the weed ? cause i really need to smoke more healthierly, i'm not to fond of the idea of all the smoke i been smoking for over a year now, and i like bongs cause they healthier than j's :P i like eating weed, but its uses up so much greeni might stick with bongs though, if i dont have money for a vapouriser, just i want to try a vap. once to see what its like ![]() | |

| For what it's worth, you WON'T be dissapointed if you try the Vap. What I did was before was ready for the full vap, I went to sears and bought a heat gun. $100, but it's returnable if you don't like it ;-) From there, you can just use a regular pipe (set the temp. to about 380-420 degrees F) then you can upgrade to the full vap. unit... Contrary to popular belief, bongs are not healthier than joints. MAPS did a study (maps.org) that showed that joints were the most efficient way of smoking weed, and that bongs filtered out more thc than carcinogens. Hope this info helps! |

| good replies shaman, way to be ![]() also to chilibeanz - if u visit the vrip site theyve got a "water tool" (a.k.a. bong) that adapts to the bowl peice shaman is talking about, however i would recommend just using ice through the whole bong when vaping it, that way itll cool but u wont lose any THC from the vaporization process i wouldnt really try any heating of glass or any makeshift vaporizers, u can try to replicate the Vrip VCB design if u have any of the resources to do so, or maybe just buy a vape somewhere on the web . . . but one thing i have heard from vape users is that they all say that once u try a vape u will never go back to burning . . . donkeysmell ![]()

| >>but one thing i have heard from vape users is that they all say >>that once u try a vape u will never go back to burning . . . So true, except for smoking on the go... vaps are not even remotely portable yet. Still love the J's for that... |

| The second place winner at the Cannabis Cup in 2000 and 2001 was from Vaportech and cost about $140 with a 40 percent discount if you buy five. http: //www.vaportechco.com/ They do have vaporizers that run off of DC now that can plug into the lighter socket of a car that cost about $100. I read about it on the net but am not interested in it so I can not give you a link. You can do a Google search for vaporizers and find it easily though. It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. | |

| i know what you're talking about when you say that they're ones you can plug into the cig lighter. they are just soldering iron ones. but, the best kind of vaporizer is the heat gun kind cause they work instantly and you can use them with any bowl you got. they haven't been made portable yet. so i think they still really aren't good portable vaporizers. oh yeah--if that vaporizer came in second place, what came in first? |

| High Times sponsors the Cannabis Cup and they have posted the winners at hightimes.com. The first place winner in the product category was Sweetleaf Grinders for a grinder to reduce bud to a useable form. Here is a non working link http: //www.hightimes.com/Events/CannabisCup/2001Winners.html The plug in vaporizer that cost a $100 is new and is not a simple soldering iron although if you do not have an interest in searching for it, I sure don't as I have already read about it. | |
