ok. although this method is very crackheadish(word?) i wanna use it. I did my resin in a pipe laz night and it worked great. But i jus wanna do some normal weed with a vaporizer. I don't have the money or time to make/get a good vaporizer so this will do. I read a similar post but the guy used the toliet paper roll method and i heard tinfoil is bad for you. And since the only downfall of this is that u feel like a crack head, i can live with that. Well anyways, how the hell do u get the little metal thing off of the end of the lightbulb without breakin it all to pieces????? that's about it since i know how to get all the crap out and how to "work" my new vaporizer. well thanx alot, and sorry for the repeated newbie question.

If you take the metal end of a lightbulb off, the vaccuum inside the bulb is destroyed, and the bulb will burn out the second you turn it on. (Bulbs don't have air in them so the filament can get really hot without actually starting on fire since you need oxygen for fire.)

I think a crackheadish way to use a lightbulb as a vaporizor would just be to stick the weed on top, wait for it to vaporize, and inhale the fumes.

Well if you take the metal part and all the insides out then you just have the glass bulb, throw the weed in there, cover the top, light the glass underneath the weed. That's what I think he intends to do.
Get a couple light bulbs and just play with the metal thing till it comes off. Get some pliers and bend the metal. If they break you'll want extras.

you will need a knife, pliers and a screw driver.

look at the bottom part of the light bulb where you screw it in and you will notice there is a little button like thing. take the knife and stick it under the button thing and make it to where you can grab it with the pliers and pull it off. this will break the vacuum* seal.
now take the screw driver and break the thick black glass where you pulled button out from. after you break it and take out what remains inside it you are good to go.
sorry if it sounds so complicated. im really stoned.

ohhhh yeah: if it has this white powder in it put a little bit of salt in it and shake it around and it should take it off the walls of the bulb.

on some light bulbs you can heat the base and the glue that attaches it to the bulb will melt, allowing you to easily remove the base....

I can't beleive you guys don't know how to do this but you sure as the h*ll don't use any type of metal objects on the light bulb. Just take the bulb and boil it and the glue gets tacky again. Works every time. Just don't leave it in for an insane amount of time or it may explode. Then you put on thick rubber gloves and twist and it comes right off.
