Hello to the people

Here is my question:
I made a vaporizer out of a soldering iron and a glass mason jar. I'm contemplating using it in my house, but scince my parents will be there, I need to know how bad the smell of vaporized weed is.

I'm actualy going to blow the smoke up the chiminey, but still... to be busted would be quite bad indeed.

i recommend that you play it safe, although the smell is nothing like MJ it still puts off a little odor. and if getting caught would cause you to get in trouble then i suggest you dont use it when your parents are home. or if they are always home just stick to smoking elsewhere. theres my 2 cents...

I agree...try it when they are gone, the soldering iron is hot enough to burn the weed if close enough contact is made...thus emitting a smell.

You have to consider though, this is in the basement, after my parents have gone to bed on the second floor. Plus, while the vapors accumulate in the jar, the jar is kept sealed, and the inhaled vapors get exhaled into a hose that shoots right up the chiminey....

it smells like burnt nuts, in my opinion.
give it a try, and then burn incence.. thats the best way to go

I made a vape out of a soldering iron once, and it smelled like burnt popcorn kinda. You could kind of moderate the temp yourself, like if it starts to taste like burnt popcorn, unplug the iron cause that means it's too hot.

i want to know how u made this vaporizer, i'm all for home made drug parafanalia (i know that's not the right spelling, but whatever), and to let u know, everytime i've ever done blades, all of 3 times, jk, its never left any odour.

i find the degree of the smell varies according to how good the bud is. if you're putting chronic buds in the vap, the smell will be pretty bad. however, if it's just shake, there will be virtually no smell.

want my advice? burn incense, and there'll be nothing to worry about.

yes, incence works great.
it also works well to hide the smell of smoke.
if yah can afford 2 dollers, get some incence, it will do you well

dude, don't smoke or vaporize in your house. it's bad news. the smell of smoke lingers, and the vaporizing smell lingers even more than smoke smell since the vapors have to collect in a dome where they concentrate and leak into the room you vaporize in. and even though a vaporizer's smell is unlike weed, it doesn't mean that your parents won't try to investigate the cause of this new smell that seems to be filling your house. also, inscence is a bad thing to burn because unless you regularly burn it, it essentially says "i smoked weed here and i have to cover up the smell." that's just my opinion. i would just smoke outside if your parents are around.
