Default Seeking vapo advice

I'd be interested in hearing advice/recommendation on either a particular brand of vaporizer or users' comments on heating element vs. hot air type of construction.

I most recently owned a vapo ordered through an Australian company at marijuanavaporizer.com. The product worked well but the heating element has died after only eight months of use and it's not worth the prohibitive shipping costs from US to send it back.

I'd also welcome basic repair suggestions an electronics novice could follow to get my old one working again (the "power" lamp is lit when plugged in but the element is not getting hot) if anyone has experience with this sort of problem.

Thanks.

sorry to hear about that vap breakin' on ya. i just got the vaportech vap. about a week ago and love it. came in under a week after order. it is a great vap, saves my stash and is quiet and healthy. but, it is hard to load, which includes stuffing the pot into a small glass tube. there is another way to smoke that they say is faster which includes putting the weed into a test tube, but havent tried that.(yet) although i believe vaps still have a long way to go as far as ease of use and portability, the vaportech is the best choice currently vaportechco.com This or the eterra, which i haven;t tried

do a search for Eterra vaporizers,
or Vrip vapes, both very different designs, both for very different smokers

the eterra is more of a "vaporizer" type thing, pretty hard to explain all the schematics involved without going too lengthy, but once u do a search on it ull be able to find sites with all the info u need on its operation and use

the Vrip uses a heat gun and a regular water bong and slide, all thats needed for the Vrip technique of vaping is an attachment which can be used with any slide which allows the heat gun's heat to be concentrated onto the slide of herb

either, or... ive heard both reccomended as the best for the buck, depending on what supplies uve got already, the Vrip can either be cheap or expensive... the Eterra... a little bit on the pricey side
