| I'm considering buying a vaporizer online, but I have no idea who to trust... I'm thinking of getting the one offered by rxdirect2u.com which seems pretty professional and decently priced but I was wondering if any of you have bought from them before so I know I can trust their quality... If you have any other suggestions on where to find *good* vapos (that you've tried personally hopefully) online please let me know. Thanks much. | |

| Woah man, Yesterday I bough my first Vaporizer... man. I was downtown on my milkrun buying some baggies& papers, when I saw this really nice looking vaporizer. I've been looking around at then for a while, so I knew the price range. This mofo was $58.95 !!! (Canadian), and looked realy nice with good instructions, so I pulled out my wallet right away, and happy I did. Bablammo!!! I tryed it as soon as I got home, with my fav. smoker buddy. We got an extention cord, and plugged it in in the garage ('s where we smoke). Since the instructions say to leave it on for 20 Mins, we did (Kinda smelt like burning oil, and incents at the same time. When it was ready, I sprinkled a nice bowlfull in the bowl (average size I use for myself) and closed the lid quickly. Woah, it's like your first big virgin hit without the pain man... It wasn't at all as harsh as even the nicest multi-champer bongs... the only drawback was it was kinda hot, but I am sure I could think of something to fix that. Overall, I think it was the best investment I've done in a while. I bet it's real great for those days when you just want to get high out of your mind and vegitate looking at a nice wall.. It got it at the Friendly Stranger, on Queen Street (downtown toronto) ![]() Jah loves me. | |

| X: Good idea to consider a Vapourizer. Your lungs will thank you and I think you will be pleased with the overall effect. Is the "rx" Vap any good? That is a hard question for me to answer. I have never used one personally, and I hate to discuss specific Vaps. What I can tell you is this. The on that "rx" sells is known as the "original BC Vapourizer" They have been around for a number of years an seem to have taken care to refine their product somewhat. The construction is better than many I have seen, but there is nothing outstanding about it. Essentially the design is the same as 90% of the Vapourizers on the market. That being a soldering iron mounted to a base with a chamber to collect the Vapours. The difference this Vap has is that the makers have reduced the chamber size significantly by using a small jam jar instead of the large globe normally seen. Also the makers of this Vap have improved the esthetics with little decoration. When I first saw this Vap I was rather impressed. The pictures are very well done. However, when I finally tracked one down in a local store, I saw that the pictures were overly flattering. In conclusion, I have to say that if you want this type of Vapourizer design, then the "rx" one is as good, perhaps better than most. Here are a couple of sites for you to check out. The first one has a little lesson about the theory of Vapourization and some instructions on how to make your own (you can construct your own quite easily) http://nepenthes.lycaeum.org/Drugs/T...ize/index.html This second link is to the old maker of a Vap known as the Eterra. The Eterra is IMO the best design currently available. This web site doesn’t sell them anymore, but there is a ton of great information on Vaps, which I recommend you read before making a purchase. http://www.flashevap.com/ Hope that helps, | |

| Do a search for the Eterra. It's a hot-air-convection vaporizer, which is definitely the way to go. Everybody loves my Eterra. | |

| yesterday, I built a vap similar to the one pictured above. the total cost was under US$15. I'm a daily smoker, but I was caught unprepared by just what that thing did to me!!! I guess it's true that burning the herb ruins alot of the good stuff. let's just say that it is 15 hours later, and I still can't think straight. if I had the cash, I would get one of the Eterra's. the problem with the vap I made is, while you don't burn up as much of the THC unnecessarily, it is hard to know when to stop "cooking" so I guess you still get alot of the "bad" gasses; and you have to suck like a fiend to clear the chamber -- I am looking for a smaller chamber similar to a test tube that would make that easier. The eterra seems MUCH more simple and Controlled. Later, TM | |

| word, yo. how much does that eterra thing cost? i have posted this earlier under another topic in this forum, but i'll post it again. correct me if i'm wrong, but i think the eterra is muchos denerro. if you want the same deal, only a little less refined, for about 40 dollars, buy a Wagner Turbo Cool HT3000 heat gun. They're at your local hardware painting section. Also, buy a cooking thermometer to go with it. what you can do with this set up is this: turn the gun on, and mess around with the dial on the back, which regulates the temperature of the air coming out of the hair dryer-like aperattus, and then set the dial around to where the air that comes out is 400 degrees, using the thermometer to measure the air temp. then, use the hot air stream in place of a lighter on any bowl. Put the nozzle on the opening of the bowl and inhale. it works. and it vaporizes really funkin fast. faster than a lighter burns the herb. i haven't got it quite as smooth as a vaporizer yet, but i am getting there. it is, however smoother than a pure flame, which is nice. |

| I am just a little upset and it is probably my fault. I went to a nice "Head" shop in the area that I am staying in and bought me a nice 32 nd birthday present (about a week ago) that was a vaporizor. I don't know what is going on. I figured that it would work at least as good as a pipe for the intoxicant value of the herb. The thing sucked. It roasted the weed (really good stuff) and I got little or none of the effect that I would expect. Whats the deal? Could the temperature of the device cause the problem? Could it be me? The vaporizer that I have is fairly cheap. No temp control, just a upsidedown fish bowl looking glass over a heating element. (not really too bad). Thanks |
