I tried to make a lightbulb vapo yesterday and after it had dried out I decided to try it to day.

I grabbed my stash and sat down in my living room. I went to take one good last look at the moster I had created when it simply exploded. For no reason at all too. I hadn't heated it or used it yet. I simply looked at it and it exploded in my hand.

To say the least it made a half inch cut on my pointer finger and it was about a quarter of an inch deep. It bled everywhere but it has stopped now.

I have decided that I will only use the real thing from now on, believe you me.

I have said it a few diff posts.. vaporizer high is crappier than normal high. Who here let TC think vaporizers were awesome?

Ive used a vapo once before and it wasn't that great at all. Mind you it was a cheapo homemade vapo. My friend took a lightbulb affixed it so youcould screw off the end (which had a straw taped to it) and put in your weed that way. You had to hold your lighter underneath the lightbulb to heat it up. You could barely tell if it was getting vaporized or not so that kinda sucked. I think I got maybe one or two good vapo hits. The rest of the time it just ehated up way too much and actualy burned the weed. It made for a kinda cool pipe, but vaporizing was a waste of time and effort.
Funny thing happened though, my buddy who owned the thing accidentally crushed it in his hand and it shattered and spilt glass and weed all over the floor.

Go with the vapor brothers or vapordoc models...they are the best supposedly.

Those expensive 300 dollar vaoprizers are kind of bulls***, they work to a degree but if anyone here have looked at the cannabibles vol.1 and 2 you will know what true vaporizing is. You can get a heat gun at any hardware store and you use that on a special bowl that is made for bongs but it has to be a bowl intended for vaporizing and you put the heat gun directly onto the weed. The gun is set to a certain temp. and that burns the weed at a perfect temp.

This is proven to be the most effective way to smoke weed. The reason being that thc is combustible at high high tempartures such as a lighter, so the theory is that if your passing around a bongload that by the time it gets lit 3 or 4 times, there is no more thc left in the actual weed because it all combusted. But when vaporizing your keeping the heat at the perfect temp so that you are utilizing all the THC. This may not make much sense to alot of you, but check out the cannabible, they explain it better then I did.

Is sacrificing a true good high for a crappy high worth it? I mean smoking with a vaporizer is supposed to be much better for your health. I wouldn't want to lose the true stoner high. I like it too much.

I made the lightbulb vaporizer, its alright. I put about the same amout of weed in as I would suefor a bowl, but I break it up real good, like for a J. Throw the stems in too, just for the hell of it. It gets the job done, about 2/3 as good as if I had just smoked the stuff, but its easy to keep in my room to smoke w/, it doesn't smell, and easier than going downstairs to get my pipe/papers outta my car. All in all, its the perfect thing to hit right before bed, esp when mom's window is open right nextto mine, and I don't want smoke to drift in. When I find the adom stray J in my room and mom's window is closed, I would still probably smoke over vapoing anyway.

Yeah they are. You can get one though for around 100 bucks from one of the links here, wish I could remember which one. I still don't like them, I haven't tried them but have heard enough bad things about them to steer clear of them.

Acording to most peolple it would be wise for all of you to steer clear also, but I would sugest trying it simply because a few, literatly 3 people, have said they prefered it to regular smoking.
