So i finally got the chance after 8 years of smoking to use a vaporizer. I must say im not really all that impressed with it. It was this high tech dealy that had a digital display for the temp, 300 dollar vaporizer i guess (bought by my ex dealer the coughing friend.) I can see the benefits from using it as far as health reasons go but after the hoopla i have heard about vaporizers flooring folks on this board i must say it definitely didnt live up to the expectations i had for it.

First of all i was never sure i was getting a hit, it seemed even if i pulled harder on the thing the same amount of vapors got in my mouth which because of the nature of vapor never seemed to be enough. I think i only got a nice decent hit once and that was when it was freshly packed. Also i noticed that the high was different. It was like my head felt really numb and my face too but the rest of my body wasn't sure if i was high. Weird thing to try to explain. I got the spins once or twice but other than that i didnt feel really high. And the whole time i was thinking i got the spins because of the plastic getting too hot on it cause when i took a hit i could taste a faint taste of plasticness, yuck. But i will say when you first pack that thing with primo bud it tastes pretty damn good. After awhile though the taste seemed to go away completely.

All in all i wasnt too big of a fan. I think the trouble was in how it was being used. We were passing it around like a bowl and i think that if it was something i could use by myself, like pack it up and take it to the dome then i would definitely have been floored by it. But it seemed by passing it around that the effects were incredibly lessened, not to mention people keep forgetting to pass the thing and you lose a lot of vapors. I can say that my chest felt no hmm whats the word im looking for...strain, yeah strain at all from it and i was pleased by that. I can say if i got one id probably have a good time with it and use it often simply to cut down on the heavy lung feeling i normally have. Then again id never dream of spending 300 bucks on something to smoke with, thats just a waste to me. But yeah, i dont know if im giving advice here or what but my first and second and third vaporizer experiences have been different to the norm of smoking out of my chillum but wholely unsatisfying compared to what i was expecting. I think i was expecting the thing to be like a vapor version of a gravity bong for some reason and it definitely isnt.

So yeah thats my vaporirzer story.

I used one once but uhh its off topic..
i think they are not worth the effort ,time or money although they have their benefits!

I used the BC Vaporizer, I could careless for it. It wasn't very special to me. I'd rather smoke a normal bowl.

Yeah i hear ya there. We smoked like 3 packs in the thing and it didnt compare to the high i get from smoking one chillum pack to myself. Ohh well.

Yeah, I've hit off the cheaper vaporizers which seem to do the same thing as the more expensive ones. For someone who's getting medical marijuana it'd be cool, but I'd way rather have a nice bong/bubbler sesh.

Vaporizers definitely have their pros and cons but for me I think the con's outweight pro's.

I've been searching for the best way to smoke with minimal damage on your lungs outside of vaporizers, and now believe that bongs with the weed chopped up beforehand so it stays cherried fit that agenda... The more perks on the bong, the better.

I have not smoked out of a vapo but know a few people that do.

In my oppinion you should really only use a vaporized if you have a few problems such as..

You have lung problems.
You can't, no matter what, smell like weed at all.
You have tons of weed and it is of very good quality and it costs barely anything at all.

However, most people don't have any of these things much less all of them and it is really just a waste. I plan to try using a vapo but have no current plans to buy or even use one on a regular basis.

Hopfully though I will have a better time than you Cleric.

ive only used the lightbulb vaporizer that i made.
but i must say, its a very different high than regular smoking. to me, a vaporizer high is a much more lightheaded experience. hard to explain.

but i couldnt see myself using the vaporizer on a regular basis. theres nothing like sitting back and puffing thoughtfully on a nice pipe/bong/hampster/whatever you use.

Yea...I made the lightbulb vaporizer from a while back..

The hits tasted like I was vaporizing dog ****e, but it was so much more conservative. No stink either. About the same high.

The main problem is that I felt like a crackhead using the vapo and it's a hassle to use.

Awesome post man, it turned out to be more like a "product review" for me, which is great because I was contemplating purchasing one myself, Danke!

I always thought vaps would turn out to be a waste in the end, i.e. wasteful or weed in my opinion, I don't have to cover the smell and my health right now isn't a concern to me, I think im in alright shape ...maybe!
