I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Yaznaki this weekend. (Very cool guy) He showed me his vaporizer and let me try it. They are great! I am ordering one as soon as we get back to Florida. Yaznaki was very helpful in showing me valuable information about the vaporizer, and helping me learn to use one, which is so important to me. I have to have a clean way to inhale marijuana, and this is the way. I went out and got a large space case, with kief holder. Really cool. I've decided all my home use will be with the vaporizer, and I will just have my new large Dugout for travel. I'll have to post a lot of pics when I get home. One of some of the bud I picked up here, one of my new space case, and my new large Dugout. It holds a substantial amount more, AND, it holds TWO large cigarette bats! Coolest thing, I just had to have it. LOL Look for all those pictures next weekend. Wont need to post a pic of my vaporizer.....everyone knows what they look like.

Thanks again, Yaznaki, for my new addiction! You saved my lungs!

I'm looking for the cheapest, but best vaporizer on the market right now. I'm willing to spend 100-150 dollars on one, and I would prefer for it to be small enough to bring to college.

Look into any of the convection style vaporizers like Vapor Brothers, or Vapor Doc.
Don't get a "hot plate" style vaporizer, you will not be pleased. The Hot plate style are like the BC vaporizer, a glass dome covering a heated plate you place the ground herbs on.

I recommend Vapor Brothers, since that's what I have
Can be easily gotten on e-bay for $140
These really aren't terribly portable.. but I think you could keep it in a dorm room no problems. The unit itself is fairly small. They do however require being plugged into an outlet to use them (or a car adaptor).
On a plus note they put out no smoke and very little odor. So masking that aspect in a dorm room should be easier.

I haven't used any of those.. only a Vapor Brothers. and an old hot plate style one.



Solong as they have proper temprature controlls and don't keep the herbs heated continously, causing you to lose vapor. I don't see a problem with them.
Solong as the herbs aren't being burnt the odor should be kept at a minimum.. I'm not saying gone... just not nearly as strong as burning lets fourth.


Aren't both of those units in the $200+ range? And don't they keep the heat on the herbs causing you to lose vapor?

I have read lots of very mixed reviews on those products.... but anywho.. I kinda hijacked vicki's thread....lol... shame on me

vaporizers are awesome if you can get some good bud, i smoked out of a vaporbrothers with just some regular dank and thought it was just ok, not worth all the money. then about a month later we got some orange kush and my friend brought his vaporbrothers over again and it was a really nice high. very different and very tasty, i need to get one for college.

one time i tried making one out of a light bulb but that really sucked, the smoke or steam or whatever hurt like the dickens. and i was just in pain.
