This question is for those of you who use a vaporizer on a regular basis, preferably a Vapor Brothers or better. Not those homemade light bulb vaporizers.

Anyway, I have been using my Vapor Brothers vaporizer for a week now and nothing else. I decided to clean my whip, mouthpiece, and tube, so I had to wait for it to dry. I also decided to smoke a bowl out of my favorite glass piece. It has no screen, but doesn't need one. I used to love smoking my weed that way. Hated everything else because I thought it was the cleanest way to smoke compared to papers, metal, etc.

I took my first hit and it tasted so nasty! It never has before. Not nasty really, but I just didn't like it as well. I hope I am not spoiled by the vaporizer already. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I am curious if I am the only one this has happened to.

I also had a "light bulb" moment. LOL I wondered if maybe I vaped tobacco out of it, would it make me hate smoking them regular? <---rhetorical question. I am trying to quit and need to really badly, but I wasn't sure if vaping tobacco would ruin my vaporizer or the taste of my weed? Thanks for any input.

Mods, please don't lock this thread. I know cigs are off topic, but I am desperate to find a way to quit. I tried cold turkey a few times and I thought I was gonna die.

I'm sure it's just because you're not used to inhaling the tars and carcinogens that come from the combustion of plant material. In short: the vaporizer has spoiled you.

Also, whether or not you vape your tobacco and then hate it without vaping it, your addiction will remain. Just because you won't enjoy smoking cigarettes doesn't mean that you'll no longer need nicotine. Either you'll still smoke cigarettes or you'll just vaporize tobacco again. Until you actually quit, that is. Maybe try the nicotine gum or something.

I do love the vaporizer. It really does taste much better. I love it because it tastes like it smells.

I am the kind of person if I put something in my mouth and it disgusts me, I never do it again, a food, now it would seem weed not vaped, etc. I think I can kick the nicotine addiction if I can first disrupt the psychological addiction. I thought that it might make my weed taste bad, but wasn't sure. I sure as hell am not cleaning the whip, mouthpiece and tube everytime I switch.

I cleaned them all for the first time today. One week's use. Soaked the glass pieces in alcohol and they both came clean really quick. I ran alcohol through the tubing, and rinsed them all with water very well. The stainless steel screen looked like new. It was more of a chore than I am used to as all my other pieces are small and easy to clean.

I found out the bigger corprate (I flunked spelling...) headshop around here sells extra whips for $30.. I know your $$$ is as tight as myne.. or moreso... but that would save you having to clean every time you switch

I am 95% positive you'd have nicotine residue left on the glass, leaving you with some nasty tasting herbs afterwords.. it may even permanantly stick to the plastic food grade tubing, I know myne has slowly turned brown from use

I thought about getting a back up whip. Nothing fancy, just like the one that came with the vaporizer. Just in case I accidentally break the whip, but your idea is good too. Maybe at tax time, if we have any money left.

I was afraid of that. The nicotine sticking to it and making the weed taste nasty, especially the tubing because it is plastic. Your tubing is turning brown? How long have you had it again? I forgot.

Yes, I do remember you telling that once. I just forgot. Smoking is nasty, even in clean glass.

vaporizing tobacco definetely wont break your vape. afterall it's kind of what their made for. although you might get residue and a bad taste later on. BTW what is a whip? ive only used one vaporizer and it was one of those soldering iron like ones.

I am sure it wouldn't. It's the taste of my weed it would affect, and possibly ruin my plastic tubing. A whip is the glass piece attached to the tubing that has the stainless steel screen and where you put the weed to be vaped. At least that is what it is with a Vapor Brothers vaporizer.

I got in on ebay for $129.00, including shipping, brand new in the box! I am very glad to have saved so much money since retail is about $200.00 or more depending on where you look. I posted a picture of it under the thread "Post your pipe, bong pics."
