Anyway... I think it also might be the bud. It's pretty cheap weed... and I've had it for a couple weeks now so it's a little more dry than before. But the nasty taste that was in the vaporizer... I could also kinda taste it again when I was smoking it in my metal pipe, just wasn't as strong. And then I could kinda smell it in the bag, too.

And maybe the reason the taste is so strong is because when I sucked on the straw, it was pointing right against my tongue lol

eeew i made one of those once, they taste so bad. i wonder why...mebe cause you are smoking tons of particles and plus you are wasting weed, they dont even work. science class test tubes work better but they still suck. o and if it turned black then u were burning it. get a pipe dude, those lightbulb vapes a re a piece of ****. if you gunna vape weed go wit a vape like vicky1's vape brothers or smoething.

I'd recommend a vapor brothers vaporizer instead of that lightbulb... but hey.. lightbulbs are cheap

Look for a site dedicated to making light bulb vaps. I made one and the taste was kinda bad but what a hit! Try it again, but think about how thin that glass is, if the flame is too close the glass will be the same temp as the flame in no time. Next time you do it try not to get any smoke at all for at least 15 sec, then when you do see smoke slowly put distance between the lighter and the light bulb to keep the temperature the same. Thicker glass definitely allows for greater error but you can customize the factors to make the same result.

uhh theres a big difference between papers and a homemade vaporizer....

sure i admit that the lightbulb one is not the best, but it IS very good for how cheap and easy it is, not to mention that there is no smoke and it is very stealthy...

IMO I think you were burning it.

You're not supposed to hold the flame directly on the glass if my knowledge serves me correct. You're supposed to hold it near and under the glass without flame touching the lightbulb so that the weed heats enough to vaporize without burning.

You should get a torch lighter for this. from my experiences torch lighters work amazingly for vaporizing. Candles and bic lighters make a big black mark where the flame is and it takes way longer to get hot and make vapor

smoke_THC i think you missed the point.

The point of a vaporizer is to boil the THC at around 200C where all your burning is the THC and not other harmful smoke with carbon monoxide. a joint burns at a temp around 400-500C and thats burning everything and you are inhailing carbon monoxide.
