The buddy bowl is all I use with this unit. You never have to worry about a washer (used with the straight bowls) slipping and having the bowl damage the bottom of the heating chamber. The buddy bowl is also thicker glass, making it harder to accidentally break, and allowing for more heat absorbtion by the bowl. The all-in-wonder bowl (I hate that name-too cutesy) just allows you to do without the tubing. You may get better taste with it because it puts you closer to the herb, but their tubing doesn't affect taste, so it's mostly personal preference. I don't have that bowl, since it's a new addition to their line, and I haven't been willing to put out $20 + shipping so far. The drawback to the wonder bowl is that it forces you to hold the vape like you're drinking a soda through a straw.

The Vapolution is my favorite for taste and control. After a hit, you can just lift the bowl higher in the glass tube (without completely removing it), away from the heat, and lower it back when you're ready for another. Running on 12v DC, it's great for using in the car. All you need is the supplied car adapter.
Only drawback to this unit is the small diameter of the bowl. If you're using it in the vertical position, you're better off not trying to use ground up material if it's dry. Since there's no screen, only the glass dimple to keep it in place, you have to be more careful to avoid getting loose herb sucked up into the bowl, tubing, or your mouth, if you pull too hard. If you just break off a small piece of herb and insert it in the bowl, there's a good chance that the piece of herb won't get completely vaped, depending on how tight it is in the bowl. So vaping the ABV from this unit (or saving it for your favorite herb recipe) is a good idea. You can always crumble it up and revape. Sometimes I'll use a very small piece of fresh herb and insert it in the bowl, using a paper clip or whatever to push it back a ways, then insert the crumbled ABV, turn the unit on it's side and vape away. The small piece acts as a stopper for the loose ABV, and gets vaped as well if you don't pack the ABV too much. This is also the same method for vaping fresh but dry, loose herb. I hardly ever get any material up the tubing or into the mouthpiece.
The plus to this design is that it's very difficult to burn your herb. The unit is plenty hot at 11-12 o'clock and it won't burn your stuff unless you get too high to remember to remove the bowl.
I also have to say that the owners of the company, Scott and Patrick, are very responsive and easy to work with. Vapolution gets an A+ in customer service from me.

I think I'll pass on the all-in-wonder then, and get an extra buddy bowl. Honestly, that all-in-wonder kinda looks like it's asking to be broke. I'm not known for my gracefulness and long glass breakable things make me nervous

After a month of my Vapolution, I give the following review:

One of my favorite parts about vaporizing and my Vapolution is lack of a lot of side effects.

No smell (on breath for MAYBE 1-2 minutes)
No paranoia (probably because it's healthier [vaporizing is healthy anyway, and the vapolution raises the bar with true glass-on-glass, which also makes it VERY hard to burn your herb], i get paranoid about heart attacks and stuff when i smoke. not good)
PERFECT for in the car (small, no exposed hot parts, comes with free car adapter, hands-free [leave the bowl in and take hit after hit of good vapor], leave the bowl on, pack bowl after bowl. The vapolution is the SHIT)

I am stoned off my ass. I have cut my consumption by 75%, vaping only 3 grams in 5 days, which works out to only .6 grams a day. I vape 2-3 times a day. This is amazing to me.

The high is a very happy, good-natured one. I believe we have found the perfect way to ingest cannabis, and it is vaporizing. I can't imagine what a Volcano is like.

The vapolution itself is a fucking tank. I don't think anything on it will ever break. The whip, however, is a different story. The standard whip is just an open-ended glass tube with a dimple to act as a screen attached to about 4 feet of food-grade tubing. It's not fancy, but it gets the job done. Unfortunately, my medium sized bowl is chipped from moderate abuse. I'm getting teh buddy bowl for its thickness, and I'm hoping it's more duable.

From loading the bowl (once you get the hang of it) to getting amazing clouds of vapor, the vapolution is cake to operate. Plug it in, flip the switch to on, and turn the knob all the way counter-clockwise. Note the time, add four minutes, and note that time. After 4 minutes are up, set the control knob to about 11:30, and wait one more minute for the temp to stabilize. Make adjustments as needed, and leave the unit on for up to 8 hours with no ill effects. The only thing I would suggest is some kind of indicator when the unit is at vaping temperature. Maybe a digital temperature readout?

Although I got mine for an amazing $80 at their Hempfest sale, their online store sells the package I got for $125. Although worth every penny, one wonders how much it really costs to make this simple yet ingenius vaporizer.

If this is the kind of vaporizing experience I get with an $80 unit, I can only drool in orgasmic wonder at what kind of machine the volcano is. This has become my best friend, going everywhere with me. For my break in between classes, I sit in my truck with the seatback all the way back and vape a bowl or two while listening to Radiohead. I love my life.

Nice review, I think you may be over estimating the high types from different vaporizers, I don't think the HIGH form a Volcano would be that different. Remember that if you take the Vapolution in a car be sure to have a duffle bag you can put it in and zip up and even lock should you get pulled over to avoid the Plain View Law. even though we only vape legal herb.

Man if the makers of the Vapolution can just improve their bowls in a manner that allows ground herb+durablity they would have the ultimate machine. It really should be restated how nice it is not to reek like you do when smokeing other ways, as you said you can go out to your car inbetween classes and vape and theres not a hint of smell on you what-so-ever when you return or say going to the movies, thats a very nice feature of vapeing. Also I'm dieing to try it so I can feel the cleaness of the high, it sounds like it takes herb to it true level, just allaround more positive high like you got a better grade of herb or something, thats really a pretty big deal if you think of it, and for the daily smoker(Not me I'm recreational) the amount of money saved has to be eye opening. At this point though Im dieing to see what they high is like because I have a feeling its going to eliminate the bad parts of smoking I hate like couchlock, if thats the case I'd really be blown away. I mean getting rid of Couchlock, red eyes, sleepyness, parinoia and just getting really high is very inticeing. I have a feeling I'll never smoke again.

I only smoke legal herbs, when I come to these forums and discuss things like smoking and the high one gets I'm referring to the feeling I get from legal herbs and have no information on what others are smokeing or reffering to. I don't smoke marijuana but do enjoy discussing and talking about legal herbs and the high from different legal smoking methods and all my post should be viewed in that light.

I'm ordering the package A with 2 buddybowls(145 instead of 125 from their website), From what 5Drive said above,the buddybowls are sized better and thicker, that seems to be the way to go. I've been bouncing around different websites trying to find the best vape for my buck, the vapolution seems to provide . I'm gonna order it friday(payday).

Well I'm positive the thicker bowls are a big improvment you can tell just by looking. At the very worse i could cut and place a small metal screen in the bowl to hold ground herb from moving and while it does take away from the all glass feature I don't feel that is a deal killer for me. The unit looks very well designed and anyone who has owned them have said they were very satisfied with it. If I have multiple bowls then I can use one if I want to enjoy the all glass nature of it and then use the one with the screen I put in it Knowing that 80% of other vapes use metal heating element like the Volcano and others, its just not any big deal if it heats with metal in the path. If the Vapolution had a built in metal heating element I'd still buy it for price and the fact you can use it in your car and also the fact that it looks like a little propane tank.

If you're hung up on glass on glass, would "glass screens" be an option? I've seen some on e-bay, but they look kinda big to insert into a vape bowl.

yea thats the problem geting the right size with a small opeing is tough, Vapolution should really try to remedy this by just making a killer bowl with a glass screen in it, then it will sell the shi* out of the Vapolution. Its the top load design thats the problem I think because herb can fall through from gravity back down into the bowl, I think.

Yes, to vape material that is dry and will fall out, you have to turn the vapolution on its side. It works fine, but you lose the hands-free feature.
