sup all. I'm wondering everyone's opinion on smoking weed with a vaporizer. I've never actually owned a product, however i've used home made devices. usualy i used a pyrex test tube then heat the bottom with my thumb on the top...or a lightbulb cleaned out.

in my expierence a vaporizer high has never felt the same as just smoking it. I'm wondering if it's the same for anyone else, and if not any suggestions on what kind of vaporizer to go for.

dude, im hittin a vaporiser while typing this
the one i got is a vapirone 3.0, so it fills up bags. it heats up real fast, and it doesnt smell. i live with some peeps who dont liek the smell or me smokin in the room, with this, while i make food a bag is fillin up. just conserves it for whenever im ready. about 30 secs a bag. Feels like you're inhaling nothing sometimes, a good bag you'll get a nice taste out of, very minty. U exhale visible vapor, sometimes u can hit so much that when you exhale it feels liek your chest is caving in.


The high


The high is more of a head high, less likely to produce couch lock. I still like to smoke a blunt or a bowl once in a while, but the vape has changed my life. So much healthier too...

Yeah the high is different. There are chemical compounds you get with smoke that you don't get with vaping, cause there's no smoke, just vapor (unless you're temp is set way too high and you're burning your weed). With vaping you avoid most of the carbon monoxide and tars that come with smoke. The CO, in particular, is a heavy contributor to the couch lock effect. CO will put you in the morgue with a heavy enough dose, and the lesser amount you get with smoking produces the lethargy that we associate with a smoker's high. So vaping leaves you with more energy, which can be a plus or a minus, depending on the effect you're trying to get. Some other toxic compounds you don't get with vaping (as long as you stay below 200C/392F) are benzene, toluene, and naphthalene. I don't know if those 3 nasties affect the high, but they can certainly affect your health.

As for tips on vapes, it depends on how much you want to spend. You can get a cheap vaporizer (that's the name), VaporBat, or Ubie for $20 or less. They're just simple pocket size vapes you use with a lighter. Keep in mind you get what you pay for. There are lots of good buys on ebay in box type vapes. Dealers and manufacturers sell on ebay at lower prices than you get on their sites. I'd stay away from the vapes that look like gum dispensers (glass globe on top). Those are old style conduction types and aren't very efficient.

i just made a light bulb vape and its the shit. im really faded off of one bowl of it and the high feels different

I've had my Volcano about 3 years and the V-Tower a few months and I would agree the 'high' from Vaping is better... over the years I've posted a LOT on other forums and wrote quite a few reviews...

I would say the high is 'clearer' maybe a little more 'up' than smoking a joint.. and for sure you get less tired and groggy when you vape compared to smoking...

I've converted... hell I own just about every vape ever made before I settled on 2 I like... but once you find a really good vape smoking really seems senselss... just look at a pipe or bong after doing a few bowls... it's black with tar and shit that same stuff goes in your lungs... whereas vaporizing the volcano bag stays clear... so you have not shit going in your lungs...

it's just common sense to me... the better shape you're lungs are in the longer you can party hard

Yeah, when you vape you are getting pure THC vapor as opposed to smoking and getting other cannabioids in your bloodstream. That´s why is can be useful for being stoned at school or around your grandparents (ha ha, funny story), it´s a more clear, healthy feeling high. But I, among most people, prefer smoking ganja. It seems like the high is more fucked up and it´s so much faster.
