I have used vaporizers many times, however it was always in a house where joints and other things were being smoked. So my question is, would a vaporizer alone make a room smell like weed?

it will definately not smell like the weed that most people are used to. They do have a smell, but it's sort of like unbuttered popcorn that's just slightly burnt (best way I can describe it). Someone that has vaporized would probably pick up on it, but most people would just notice an odd smell.

Not only is it a different smell, but since it's vapor and not smoke, it doesn't hang around long. Definitely the stealthly way to go.

it will fill the room with a smell... but noone would suspect it's weed (unless its parents that are trying to catch you)

and the smell goes away really fast. It's nothing like smoke where the smell lingers on. It's like a baked popcorn smell, which goes away in like 30min.

It's very stealthy because the smell doesn't stick to anything. So, if you got a bag of vape, and brought it with you during a road trip, the smell will disappear instantly with the windows rolled down.
