Hey everyone!!!
I have a question, I know the general way a vaporizer works, but what kind of things can be used to heat the weed to the temp needed to produce pure THC? What devices are used in commercial ones you buy off the internet or so? If you know, I would really appreciate finding out!

A vaporizer basically has a small brass plate on the inside which heats up to something like 225 degrees F. At that temp (not exactly sure of temperature), the "essential oils" are released without the buds igniting. I guess you could make your own if you had something to heat the herb, and also had a glass globe to be able to contain the vapor...

My friend's vaporizer works - it gets you high - but when the herb is heating up, it actually releases a small amount of smoke. When I toke, I also exhale a small puff of smoke. Correct me if I'm wrong, but a vaporizer is supposed to contain NO smoke - just potent THC-vapour. Is this thing working too hot?
