Well I already ordered a synthesizer (399) for myself for Christmas, but I am still wanting to get something else, something marijuana related.

I'm an avid smoker, and have tried a vaporizer once but was already stoned so I didn't really notice a difference.

I am wondering if there are any avid vaporizer fans here that could maybe shed the real light on how great they are?

I am wanting to get a VaporBro, after hearing from some members how great they are, but I am still undecided.

Could someone perhaps suggest some of the better brand ones (minus Volcano, which I am not interested in)? What brands should I specifically avoid?

I already have a wonderful bong, a hookah, 2 bubblers, and several hand pipes, hoping to finish the collection with a centerpiece of technological magnificence.

Well, for me the VaporBrothers is the best. I have tried other kinds, but that is by far my favorite. I hear the VaporWarez is about the same as the VB but I have never used one.

I love using vapes, the high is so awesome!

The price of the VB has increased on Ebay though I paid 115.00 for mine and they are now 150.00. I asked the seller why and he said VB told him if he didn't raise the price to the suggested retail, he would no longer be allowed to be a vendor of them. Sucks, but still well worth the 150.00 price tag!!

Well, I, too, have a VB-style vaporizer, and while it conserves herb very well, I don't consider it to be of everyday use. It just takes too long, I find, to get the desired effect. First you have to draw the right speed on the whip, and then you have to make sure it's vaporized cleanly, and that can take 30 minutes for one pack. Whereas I can take a 15-second bong hit and be blown away...

I'm more interested in the bag-style vapes.

i have a vapor brothers and i love it, weed seems to go three times as far... twice as far when you vape it and then you can use the ABV weed to cook with and get really high.
the only other vape ive tried is the volcano, and ohh man... that is my dream "piece"
i like the vapor brothers cause its easy to use and looks good

my weed related christmas present to myself (or as i like to see it:consolation prize for living through christmas) is probably going to be a spacecase

Box/whip type vapes I'd consider before the vapor bros model-vaperwarez for better warranty-Pure vaporizer is a good unit available for under $100 on ebay-Vapolution (not a box unit but works the same) for portability-it's 12v for easy car use, has an optional battery pack and it's built like a tank even though it's glass. The Vapor Bros is a good unit, but there are other similar units like the Vaporwarez, Pure, iVape, etc. that have a longer warranty and/or better price. Stay away from the cheap so-called 'digital' box units you find on ebay. If digital interests you the Vapormatic Deluxe (vapir.com) is more $ ($300), but does whip or bag and has a lifetime warranty-parts and labor. Another good box unit is the Vaporlight (I have one and like it a lot). It uses a quartz halogen bulb for the heating element and it's user replaceable for $5.
