| The biggest difference between the Volcano and cheap so-called 'digital' box vapes is that the Volcano can be set to a specific temp -the numbers on the dial correspond to temp settings (see storz-bickel.com/en_technk.htm)- and it will maintain that temp throughout the bag filling process. Granted, it's much easier to maintain a constant temp when you're filling a bag with a constant stream of air from a pump. When you're using your lungs to control air flow with a whip vape, it's much more difficult, if not impossible, to maintain that constant temp. Pull hard on the whip and you can drop the vaping temp in seconds by 30 degrees or more. The other problem with $100-150 'digital' box vapes is that you can't depend on the temp shown on the display being an accurate vaping temp. There may also be a big delay as far as the displayed temp keeping up with how fast the actual temp varies. So you can use the display on a Digi-vapor or whatever for reference-try to keep it steady, etc.-but don't expect any temp control (other than your lungs) or real accuracy from the display. At least with the Lifestyle from Gotvape you get a 5 yr. warranty. Most of the digital display box types on ebay have no warranty. If you're interested in affordable bag delivery with the constant temp a pump provides, you might look for the herbalAire on ebay sold by Vaporstore. I've got one I've been using nearly every day for over six months and it works great. Also gives you whip delivery if you like. Heats up in a couple of minutes and lets you know via LED color. Vaporstore has sold them on ebay with 'Best offer' as low as $165, and they are an authorized dealer. My favorite 'cheapie box vape' is the Pure Vaporizer. No digital display, but it's been around for several years and some ebay patience will get you one for about $70 delivered. |

| I've been in the market for a digital vape too, specifically for medicinal purposes and the lady at the dispensary where my uncle receives his meds suggested a box type unit with a digital temperature readout. she pointed me to the VIP 4200 Vape, which has all that, and a VERY good price for what we wanted to spend (we just ordered one, so I'll post my thoughts when we receive it). We also looked at the SVS and Buddha vapes which have a lot of good things said about them in the forums and they look great, but no precise temperature controls. You can google search them all, the VIp is at Digital Vape Dot com or VIP Vape Dot com Also, Vapor Bros Dot Com is the most famous (and priciest) for the Box design vape style. It think this fits in better with how I see him using it. If I hand him bags and a huge unit like the volcano, he'll just look at me funny. ;-) |

And yes, the 'made in China' boxes are all at a "VERY good price", but they have no warranty and in general don't hold up long term. I don't mean to trash your choice, but these <$100 box vapes have a poor track record for reliability and I'm very suspicious of the parts they use, as far as safety. When some Chinese companies are fine with putting poison in pet foods and lead paint on toys....well, the vaporizer market has no safety regulation at all.
