I know you can use a lightbulb to make a vape, but I wanted something a little stronger, I was wondering... would a regular glass bottle work? I have BAWLS bottles, on the bottom of the side there's an easy spot to knock a hole small enough to cover easily with you finger. could I just drop weed theough the mouthpiece, cover the hole, and hold a flame to the bottom of the bottle? or would that not work?

That would probably work, but its hard to tell if it is safe.

It would probably be safe, but Im not so sure of using unknown materials. Bawls is made out of "glass" I've seen, but what about the coloring agent in the glass? are you sure that is not going to out gas and kill you?

Are you sure the glass won't crack under high heat?

try getting a 50-150 mL test tube or something.

Those are made to be used over a flame and to be completely non-reactive, so there is no outgassing.

i doubt this is the case though. i just wouldnt take the risks when much better alternatives are available

You should try making a stovetop vape... wonder if you could do that.. if you could find pieces to make it with.

Glass vapes remind me of off-topic pipes. Nonetheless, I would go with nornerator on this one, and buy some test tubes. Unknown glass is a chance I'm not willing to take.

I believe he is talking about crackpipes, what crack users use to smoke up.

I don't know about using a bottle, I would think the lightbulb would win out over a drink bottle, the glass is much more thin and transfers heat more easily.

For the small cheap ones (Ubie, Vaporbat), I'd agree. The larger ones (Herborizer, VripMaster, etc.) are more like water pipes.

I would agree. The drink bottle is too thick, and a thinner jar type glass would probably not withstand the heat of a butane torch (forget about a butane cigarette lighter). You'd need to go for pyrex, like a test tube.

Whatever you do just be very careful until you know how to safely heat up the glass. If that crap shatters in your face you will not be a happy camper!
