I want to make a more complex vaporizer than just my bulb, I want it to pass through an ice compartment to cool it down and such. Now, since vapor is different from smoke, will vapor disappear if it is cooled to room temp or colder?

I imagine you'll likely lose some amount of the vapor, as it will stick to the ice as it passed over it, though, unless I'm mistaken, whatever reaches your mouth should still be vapor containing lots of yummy THC. Give it a try, let us know how it works!

Well, I don't want to lose much vapor, if any because that's a waste if I lose a good bit. I'd rather just suck it up and take it hot.

Water will absorb some THC. It's a small percentage, but if you want to get the maximum amount, don't pass it through water. And you certainly don't need to use ice to cool the vapor unless you're determined to make it cold. Sucking vapor will definitely dry out your throat to some degree, but you can just drink water or something along with your vaping session. In all the vapes I've used, 'hot vapor' has never been an issue, and my favorite for taste is the Vapolution, using just the 7" glass bowl inserted in the heating chamber-the herb in one end and the mouthpiece on the other end.
