No way IMO. There is no way IMO. If the laser will burn the matter, then it will not vape it. It only works in one mode, full power. So unless your laser is weak and cannot make the weed burn, but powerful enough to get it at 300ish degrees, then its not gonna happen. Now smoking with the laser, thats real tight. I wanted to get one when I first saw them on these boards, but I decided that my jackass friends would definitely blind me.

The laser would not be directly applied to the herb, just like the flame is not directly applied in a butane powered vape. The laser would heat an element and a temp control system would keep the heat chamber in the correct temp range.

You could use a laser to light your bowl... It would vaporize the weed but you would have to be careful to not burn it. It would take a fairly powerful laser, thought, and you would need some pretty nice goggles so you don't burn out your retinas.

Won't work, not enough power. This laser uses only a half watt of power and puts out less than a 1/10th watt of light. A typical vaporwarez type vape uses a soldering gun type heater that runs at least 10 watts, often much more.

So you'd need a laser a hundred or so times as powerful to vape.

It's possible that you might use it as a super-small lighter that would light one little ground leaf at a time, but there's not much point in that.

that thing looks like it wud fry your weed, id rather use a vape or go outside and use a magnifying glass, try that sometime, stand in the sun, concentrate a magnifying glass on the bud and inhale, the cleanest way to smoke aside from vapes, and you dont need any fuel other then the sun
