I followed Vicki's advice and purchased the Vapor Warez. (Thanks for answering my questions Vicki.) I ended up buying it on Ebay because of the price and the fact it came with extras, but I was nervous as I have been burned on ebay before and this deal seemed to be a little too good to be true -- it says it comes with a 5 year warranty which eased my mind a little. I ordered it Wednesday night and paid immediately. It had to be shipped from Orlando to LA, and it somehow arrived on Saturday. I was impressed. Also, it was kind of fun to watch it's progress and see which city it was currently in on Fed Ex's website. It arrived in a giant box that weighed almost nothing. I was nervous there would be nothing inside. After searching through a million styrofoam peanuts, I found the Vapor Warez. It was much smaller and lighter than I expected. I was expecting it to come in a box -- kinda like a blender from Target. It made me nervous that there was no box. It was just wrapped in tight cellophane -- you know, like a new CD. And then surrounded in bubble wrap. There was also some bubble wrap (and the directions) around the heating element to protect it during shipping. Don't get me wrong, it was packaged really safe and well, but the ad had said "brand new - in it's original packaging" So I expected a box, but maybe this is how it always comes. Vicki, is this how yours came? It also came with a whip (wrapped in bubble wrap) and two scrapers.

The extras that came with the Warez were a scale (Blade) and a grinder. I can't tell you how great theses extras are. They are of very high quality. I purchased an 1/8 of medical MJ from my pharmacy and checked it with the scale and it was dead on. The grinder is a four piece aluminum grinder that works great and feels expensive. I was going to buy both of these items anyway, so I figured I saved $30-40 bucks.

Now for the vaping. First off, the directions are horrible. They were the exact same directions from the Vapor Warez website. Nowhere on the directions did it mention that you have to be sucking the whip when you place it on the heating element. My first time, I placed the whip on the element without sucking and all my material fell into and around the element. I tried to figure out what I was doing wrong for about an hour and eventually gave up until the morning when I called the phone number at the Vapor Warez website. The man who answered was great. He answered every question I had and more. We talked about 30 minutes. The directions had also said to fill the whip chamber about 1/3 full with material. That would have used my entire 1/8!! The man on the phone said to ignore the directions and just put in the same amount that you would normally use for one full toke when smoking out of a regular smoking device. So I did this and it was just enough to barely cover the whole screen. Is this consistent with what you guys do? Please let me know.

So I did my first vape and it was awesome! I guess you can say once you vape, you'll never go back. I bought the vaporizer for only health reasons as I didn't want to have lung problems down the road and I was starting to cough a bit. I had no clue of the other many benefits. First and foremost the 'high' is totally different. My old 'high' completely crippled me. I would just want to sink into my couch and watch movies when I was high. I was incapable of any cogent conversation as I just turned 'stupid' and I would not remember any conversations the next day anyway. I couldn't drive or do much of anything - except eat. This new high is soooo wonderful. I still feel f'd up but in a whole new way. I don't want the TV on. I want to light candles and put on mellow music and get into deep conversations with my friends and/or boyfriend. I have really good insight about myself and others. I like to go do things now -- like take a walk, or go on a mission or sit out on my balcony and enjoy nature. I can drive fine as well. I am less hungry. I also think the whole process is more enjoyable as well. Grinding then vaping and passing is a fun, new process.

I find that it is weird to not blow out any smoke. Usually, after I would take a bong rip -- I usually can judge how stoned I would get by how thick the smoke of my exhale was. Or if I cough a lot from a hit, this means I usually will get more stoned. Now I just blow out invisible air and my brain has no clue what to make of it. But the high has been wonderful all three times I have done it. So not only is vaping heathier, the high is 10x better, the process is more fun, there is very little smell, it seems like you don't use as much MJ. But shockingly there was one major, last benefit that I had no clue would arise:

Taste. MJ now has great taste! What? Taste was usually a big negative for me. Now each different type of MJ has it's own unique, wonderful taste. Not only that, but you can control what kind of taste you get. Turn up the heat and suck slowly and you get a thick, rich taste -- kinda like Guinness beer or dark coffee or a rich cigar. Or you can turn down the heat and draw faster and get a light, smooth taste -- like Coors Light, or light coffee or a light cigar. The vapoizer has added a whole new appreciation for a finer, more wonderful MJ experience. I should do a commercial. Needless to say, I will never go back and I am starting to look for a cheap, portable vaporizer to get for road trips etc.

I asked some questions throughout the body of this obnoxiously, long text. I will sum them up here and would love to hear your responses:

1. How was your Vapor Warez packaged?
2. How much material do you put in your VW?
3. How many tokes do you usually take from that given amount of material before throwing it out?
3. Do you blow out any smoke? I have been testing different temps, but I am curious if and how much smoke you guys blow out.
4. Do you think the first hit is considerably more potent than hits that follow? (Like when using a regular bowl, the 2nd hit is often mostly ash and far less potent than when you get the greens.) Is this true with a vaporizer as well?
5. Does anyone know of a cheap, portable vaporizer?

Welcome to vaporizers. I don't have a Vaporwarez, but my Vaporlight will do for your questions.
1. Your packaging is normal.
2. You can get quite a bit of vapor out of a small amountl. The better the quality, the less I use, from .05 to .1 g. The more you load the more you'll have to stir it between hits.
3. Depends on the material. Vape it until it turns brown and tastes like burnt popcorn.
3. (Did you know you had 2 #3s?

) I hope you mean vapor, not smoke. If you're blowing smoke you're vaping way too hot. You should exhale vapor. How much? It depends on various factors-consistency, moist or dry, heat level, how hard you're hitting it (easy does it-better for temp stability).
4. Absolutely not. Vaping is not smoking. You're heating up the weed, not incinerating it. Vapor comes easier from dry herb, so you'll get more vapor toward the end of the load.
5. Cheap Vaporizer (that's the name), Vaporbat, Ubie. Got $50?- Vaporgenie.

Something you should try that'll keep you from spilling your herb on the heater tube-prop up the back of the vape so the heater tube is horizontal. Mine is built like that and it works a lot better if you want to keep your bowl up to the heat while you're not hitting it-a preheat, if you will. Using a whip, and your lungs to control air flow, takes some practice. You'll get used to it.

First, let me say how happy I am for you! I am glad you like your new vaporizer. Vaporizing really is totally different from smoking, and no one can really understand until they try it. Then they love it!

My Vapor Warez came packaged exactly the same way, so I am sure that is the way they come from the manufacturer. Did you talk to Winslow? That's the guy I talk to, and he is so nice and helpful. I just love my new Vapor Warez, and the company is great too.

How much herb I use depends on the grade of herb. If it's high end, I only need to put a tiny amount, just enough to cover the screen. If it's midgrade, then I put the herb in just right above the circle part, where the screen fits in. <---I hope that makes sense because I can't think of a better way to describe it right now.

I never really count how many draws I take. I usually just draw until I can't see anymore vapor. I also mix the herb up a few times during the session. This allows maximum air flow over your herbs, and you get the most out of them.

Don't call it smoke, it's vapor.

I know it's hard to get used to, when all you have done all your life is smoke. I keep mine set at just below 12 noon. I have never really felt a need to change the setting. I can get everything out of the herbs by just drawing/mixing until I see no more vapor after I draw. The first few draws will always be thicker and more abundant than the last draws, but that's normal.

As for you question regarding a cheap portable vaporizer, I'm still looking for one myself. Haven't found a "cheap" one yet. Unless you count my Ubie's. I don't.

I haven't cleaned one of my whips yet, but I have one soaking, and plan to rinse it, and replace the screen with a better, more sturdy screen in the next day or two. I'll find out then just how hard that is compared to cleaning a Vapor Brothers whip.

I prop my Vapor Warez up on a couple books like I did with my Vapor Brothers, and that prevents herb material from falling down into the heating element.

Vicki, you shouldn't toss out the build up on the inside of the tube/glass. That stuff will really get the job done.

Also, if you very lightly pack the bowl you won't have any problems with it falling in to the heating element, and you get nicer hits.

I can't wait to buy a vaporizer, I've tried one a couple of times and the high was better. I was gonna buy a vapor brothers but I've heard really good things about the Vapor Warez. One question Starry Dreams, how much did you pay?

Hang in there, I recently waited 30 days to get and item but it came. If they are waiting for it to be instock it could take a while. I know about your plight from the other thread, if it's not to you by Monday or Tuesday - flat out get them to admit that that are waiting for it to arrive - tell them you don't really care and that its ok and that you'll wait but you just want them to admit they are waiting for it to arive to ship out. After they do call them back 10 minutes later and tell them to credit your card immediately really lay into them. If they haven't really shiped it they will credit your card. They want you to think the reason they won't credit your card is because it's in the mail to you. Make them admit first then bitch like hell. Tell them your about to turn up the heat on them fast come here leave their contact number and I'll call 1-2 times a day saying get them their vape I'll act like I have a personal interest in it - like I paid for half of it and were realitives or something then one or two people else calling from here for 5 calls a day will be woth it for them to say F'it and give you your money back.

they are in stock and They claimed they mailed it...gave me a tracking number too. But the tracking number only gives me the generic message "We have been electronically notified of this package for shipping, doesn't mean we have it" or something like that.

So, yesterday the guy said he would ship me out a new one today and I would get a shipping number today...

alas...I didn't
