You can get some of the ease of use of bag delivery if you're willing to shell out more bucks for a forced air vape. The Vaporfection is top of line, but a Natural Goods unit also uses a fan to provide contstant air flow through the heating chamber. That brand comes in digital or analog. The digital, unlike the $500 units, only gives the temp of the whip/bowl when it's connected to the unit (you 'preheat' the whip before loading it). The standard Natural Goods unit has no temp readout, but does have the fan and you can get one for as little as $150 on ebay-good buy IMO. It seems to be a reliable brand and has a 1 yr. warranty. If you want to try a passive whip unit (no fan), you can get one for well under $100 on ebay. If it doesn't suit you long term, you can always use it for a backup.

The BC Vaporizer was my first vape too. Very unsatisfactory but it did sell me on vaping, especially when I found out there were much better vapes out there.

I'm thinking of the Vaporfection Stealth II that you recommended.

By the way, I finally did what you recommended and taped the leaksI did get a better high after taping the leaks. Guess I was loosing a lot of vapour.

you can choose to use bags or get the benefits of forced air whip by just taking a hit directly from the bong. I usually like to do small bags... if you keep the bag small enough that you're finished in a few minutes it's pretty fresh and you maximize your efficiency.

The problem with whip type vapes for me is that they produce one or two strong hits followed by lots of weak hits. If money is no object you can reload before you get to the weak hits, but for me I can't bring myself to waste the weed that way. All those weak hits lead to dry throat and a coughing sensation.

Another way of looking it is that with whip type vapes you are breathing the hot air without much vaped herb, while the herb is heating up at the beginning of each inhalation. But with bag vapes the herb is basically always at the vaping temp, so you don't breathe any more hot air than you need to.

As others have said, vaping produces a different effect that smoking, and may require some getting used to. It's more of an up high. But once you're used to it, it becomes preferred. I still smoke sometimes, but now bong hits taste like crap compared to vaping.
