| Well as the title states, I just bought my first vaporizer. It's a "Digi-Vapor" box style unit, with a digital temp control display, bought for $120 at my local Las Vegas headshop. ![]() My question is as follows- The heating element is angled downwards. So when I fill the whip and slide it onto the heating element, what's going to stop the weed from falling directly onto the heating element (possibly scorching it?)? Seems like the designers of my vaporizer didn't keep gravity in mind? Or is there something I'm missing..? |

| Sorry to break it to you mate, but you just paid $120 for a box of sh1te. "Unfortunately quality control was not addressed when this vaporizer was designed. The Digi-Vapor Digital Vaporizer DOES NOT WORK. The staff of GotVape.com used this vaporizer, over and over and tried everything to get it to work. But alas, we were never able to produce vapor from the Digi-Vapor Digital Vaporizer. Was it simply the Digi-Vapor Digital Vaporizer we tested over and over again wasn't working, maybe just a broken vaporizer. So we tried a another brand new Digi-Vapor Digital Vaporizer and low and behold same results. No Vapor. So no vapor and an awful taste most likely benzene, toluene and napthaline from the sub standard heating element used. We're not quite sure why the Digi-Vapor Digital Vaporizer was ever released to the public. It never worked. The people making them and selling them OBVIOUSLY never even use their own vaporizers. If they did they couldn't in good conscience sell them, now could they?" Source: http://digi-vapor.com/ Take it back, get refund, buy a blue meanie or another entry level vape. EDIT :: Also, you got ripped off. They're ~$75 online. You're probably better off just getting the money back and buying a phat OZ or a new piece of glassware.

| I saw that review, and it seems they're spreading bad propaganda about the product since they don't sell it. It also seems awkward to me that got-vape (the company that posted that review), would buy the domain "digi-vapor.com", just so they could post a negative review about the product. Searching google turned up no other negative reviews, other than that single bad review. I've found positive reviews of the exact same model by searching Google, but I wont know for sure until I try it out for myself. But my question still goes unanswered- and I've noticed extremely similar designs on other brand box vapes. What do I do to prevent the weed from falling onto the heater element? |

| Once again Google fails me. I hope it shall redeem itself through this, the eBay blurb for a similar item... "This is really more than one step and I will go through them here. The first step is to wait for your vaporizer to get hot. It should be hot enough to use within 5 minutes. The hand piece is then held up to the end of the heating element, slide it onto the gound fitting that is flashing and you place the mouthpiece at the end of the plastic tube in your mouth. It is not neccessary to hold the handpiece parallel with the heating element, you can hold it level with the ground and thus avoid any backspill of herbs onto the heating element. The only important factor is that you can draw air over the element heating it which then in turn heats your herbs as it passes over them. This is the next step; draw hot air over the herbs, thus creating the vapor, and down the tube into your lungs. After you have taken your vapor draw you may pull the handpiece away from the unit and thus avoid keeping any heat on the herbs when you are not drawing vapor. The overall process is simple however getting the right draw is a science and each person has their own preferred method. Next I will discuss mine." Src: Here |

| hypnoticme- I just tried it and it does work. Not much choice anyway because the headshop doesnt do refunds, exchanges, nothing. You pay and its yours. But I did just try it out and it definitely does work. I let it heat up about 15 minutes before I gave it a go, and now I'm all good to go.vern- everything's cool. 2 screens, one on the top of the heater, the other in the whip. |

| Digi-vapor's problem is quality control and no manufacturer's warranty to back the consumer on a bad unit. If you can't get an exchange or refund from the dealer, you're out of luck. A lot of the cheaper box units are made in China and you take your chances to get a good price. I agree $120 is too much to pay for a 'no warranty, made in China vape'. As for the downward pointing heater tube you find on so many box units, you either suck on the tube non-stop to keep your weed from falling out, or prop up the back end of the box to make the tube horizontal. The latter is a much better solution IMO. My Vaporlight has a horizontal tube and it works fine that way.

| I have the same digi-vapor aswell, and it DOES work. While my local headshop fully supports this product 100%, and has sold countless, i am still concerned about the possible 'benzene' fumes?? This is a bold statement gotvape.com made, and I would never want to inhale toxic fumes. |

| You don't get benzene because a vape won't heat up, you get benzene when your vaping temp is about 400F. You also get increased levels of carbon monoxide and other toxins. Here's a good reference for vaping temps if you want to get all the THC without the toxins that vaporize at higher temps. http://www.canorml.org/healthfacts/vaporizerstudy1.html |

| thanks for the reply, so do you think the digi-vape is safe to use, and the gotvape review isn't accurate? |
