I have zero experience with vapes, but a lot of experience with mary. I've decided to seriously consider a vape before i head off to college for the obvious advantages of no smell and efficiency of use, so that's very important. I'm not too worried about ease of use, as I'm willing to take the time to figure out how to use something that might be a tad more complicated. Basically I'd like something that's not huge/blatantly obvious since I'll be in a college dorm, something on the smaller side. I'd say my budget is in the 200ish range, but obviously the cheaper the better. The most important thing is the impact though, I want to stay far away from anything that some people classify as "weak". Thanks in advance for any replies

I just got an Herbalaire H2.1 Vaporizer yesterday. As you can see in my review, Im very satisfied. If it were sitting there without the bag or mouthpiece attached, nobody will have any idea what it is. The lame excuse that I put no thought into for me is to say its either a part for a soldering iron, like an extension type thing, or something to do with a hot glue gun. Yep... Lame, I know.

Ill say this about the smell though... everyone had their own analogy as to what it smelled like, but I leaned along the lines of some type of popcorn. You can barely pin it on being weed, but there is a smell, so dont this its completely odorless. Just 10000 times less than burning it.

I was wondering the same thing. If i vaporize in my dorm room...and i keep everything closed it wont smell will it? That is the main reason why i bought the damn thing.

It doesn't really smell like smoke and doesn't hang around nearly as long. It does have a distinctive odor, but you'll be OK unless you come across someone who vapes. You can also get some legal herbs to vape and use that for cover. Here's a list of herbs and their vaping temps:

thanks for everybodys advice. i'm heading to my local headshop tomorrow and i plan on picking up a vape if they carry an herbalaire or a vapolution...i haven't seen any good deals on either on ebay. still open to more suggestions. thanks

guys i have lots of experience with smoking in dorms (never been caught either ... and never will cause i dont have to live in one again) anyway... take a big box fan and put it in an open window, facing out, then take a pillow or 2 and put it in the remaining space of the window that the fan isnt taking up... turn the fan on and blow the smoke out of there... this works better when a a window is open in the hallway outside your room

spray something everyonce in a while and you're perfect


this may not work for lower floors... i was on the 8th floor of my building so... this was not a problem, good luck tho

I can't say enough about it. A total winner. I've owned other lighter based units and this one hands down is my fav. $50 delivered. I own 2 of them. I just got mine in today and the build quality is the best I've seen. Teeth are absolutley PERFECT and razor sharp. The $15 delivered 2 peice in Uscratchable is what I got. You can tell by the pictures how nice they are, they get pricey as the size goes up but the 2 inches and below are fairly priced.

I only smoke legal herbs, when I come to these forums and discuss things like smoking and the high one gets I'm referring to the feeling I get from legal herbs and have no information on what others are smokeing or reffering to. I don't smoke marijuana but do enjoy discussing and talking about legal herbs and the high from different legal smoking methods and all my post should be viewed in that light.

my first impression of the vaporstar is that the general appearance is that it's pretty obviously a "piece" of some sort. if i'm going to own a piece that's obvious in my dorm i might as well just blow my money and get a hurricane or a black label lol. although, for $40 bucks, since that's pretty cheap i would consider it if i had any real advantages over something like an herbalaire...or if i wouldn't notice a difference between the two, while i would save a bunch of money with one over the other...that's the kind of thing i'm wondering. thanks again for the advice

Well to each his own. I love it. Here are some benifits.
