Even if you just bump it up a little. I was watching how much he turned it in his vids and he really only went from like 1:30 to about 3:00 on his control knob.
I am trying it and it's not burning at all, but I'm not seeing a differance in how long the load lasts.

I've always thought Silver Surfer was by far the coolest looking vape I'd seen (i can't stand how the box units look, even though i know they can be really good vapes).
When I get a vaporizer in the future, and I do plan to sometime, it'll more than likely be a Silver Surfer

tokinGLX, you went above and beyond in your effort to give some good real world info. The SSV is now at the top of my list if I decided to get a electic unit because it looks very nice and I love the custon glass heating knob and glass heating element cover. It looks very cool also. I vape exclusivly now with the VaporStar and it produces big hits like your first hit of ground up herb.
I think its a given - at least IMO - that the next evolution of vaporizers need to have a automatic stir mechanism. All big hits come from a fresh bowl or one that has just been stired. If a bowl was constantly being stired the first hit of a fresh bowl would be 2x to 3x as thick and each additional hit would decline very smoothly - not being disrespect to your "Don't waste with big hits comments".
Anyhow that really gave a almost as if I used the unit perspective to it. There are a lot of different aspects to getting the most out of ones vaporizer. If there is anything that I may have confirmed after watching the video is I like to clean my Vaporizer after each use for a fresh start each time and whip based units make that kinda hard or harder, so I feel good about my choice for me with the VaporStar. The SSV just looks quality for what I could see, I like the black powder coat, and the tilted style and just every thing about it. Also did I see right that on the SSV where you connect the whip - it is in a Upright position so herbs can't fall down into the heating element unless you make that dreaded mistake of blowing into the whip. The upright whip connection is just another plus if I saw that correctly. Good Job, I didn't have to imagine I saw the who unit in full blown action.

I only smoke legal herbs, when I come to these forums and discuss things like smoking and the high one gets I'm referring to the feeling I get from legal herbs and have no information on what others are smokeing or reffering to. I don't smoke marijuana but do enjoy discussing and talking about legal herbs and the high from different legal smoking methods and all my post should be viewed in that light.

ha, and no disrespect taken, ill admit, its hard for me, still, to take the small hits. my natural tendancies lean to trying to fill my lungs as full as possible with that uber delicious herbiful vapor.

youre dead on about catching the upward angle that you hold the whip while hitting it, it is absolutely impossible for yuo to lose any herb out of it(and straight onto the hot heating element) while hitting it. well, impossible unless you happen to breath into the whip.

ill probably sit and make a short one showing the cleaning process of the wand, its extremely easy, and the resin accumulated in there does for a niiiiiiiice vape/smoke session. i tend to keep all of it in its own container, and use that as my go to sleep bowl.

i hypothesize that this is because cbn(or is it cbd.....i cant quite remember offhand) changes back from a vapor to a solid(resinates) sooner than thc. either way, after two hits, my eyes start gettin real heavy.

a friend was over recently, and he had used the hot box, vapor bros, and the vapor warez, and said that he preferred the hit of the ssv to any of the others. one reason he figures it works better is because of the 90 degree bend in the glass heater cover. it allows a little air resistance that the straight through design doesnt, creating an airflow that is more evenly heated up before hitting the herb.

he was also surprised at the length of the cord, being long enough to reach around to the outlet and still have enough play to move it around so that a roomfull of people can hit it comfortably.

after watching these vids i bought a ssv and i freakin love it.
please post a vid when you get time cleaning the wand and how do you scrape the resin(i think thats what it is) from the wand?

Think of resin as leftover gunk from smoking. Leftovers from vaping would be residue (condensed vapor), which can be revaped or smoked with full effect. I've found that trying to scrape residue from glass is very inefficient. You're better off using a lighter on it to revape it before you clean the glass.
