![]() ![]() ![]() I bought my Silver Surfer vapo last year after using my buddies quite a few times. Some of the features that rock this vapo are: 1. The way the whip approaches the heating element. As oppossed to the wooden box style, where your whip comes in at a downward angle and you tend to dump your load if your not careful, with the Silver Surfer you approach in an upward motion and lose nothing,.... except your mind! 2. They added a friggin bong, which they call an ice chamber, but look at it...a bong. My stuff tastes so damn good vapoing through this. Clean, nothing at all harsh. I love it. 3. Quick change screen in the whip. I usually clean my stuff with alcohol so rarely change a screen, but O so much easier getting it in and out with this style whip. They also added a hands free whip, which I have yet to try. 4. The look...Stylish as a nice center piece/conversation piece I've been smoking for over 30 years, so it was hard as hell to give up my pipe/lighter/bong/joint. And i pretty much have, except for an occasional gathering that calls for it. But shit, we have an invertor and bring our Surfers on the road. Sitting in the parking lot of a PJ concert last summer we just vapo'd away, people absolutely oblivious to what we were doing. I will probably request to be buried with mine. Like my friends will let in go under ground ![]() if your interest in more info...and yes they are pricey, but I'll have mine forever and never need anything else, except for maybe a few custom parts here and there. silversurfervap.com/

| Good info. Nice pics. They make a good product and you end up with a unique looking vape. Pricey? Maybe compared to the typical box vape. A box vape uses the same basic design/method, but the SS has a lot more style IMO. And it's not pricey compared to high end vapes and bongs. You should edit your post though. | another happy ssv user!! ive had one for almost a year now, and love this thing. they also come in a very shnazzy black powdercoating. a few more pics, plus a video i made where i sat down in front of the camera and vaped a full gram of the good herb. it was long, and my hard drive is near full, so i had to chop it into 5-7 minute segments. the last three were real short, as i ran to the end of the tape, so i had to scrounge for other tapes with free time at the very end. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 1 http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...84032789155474 2 http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...74916834105937 3 http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...67627250428913 4 http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...81447951772275 5 http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...73803926477836 6 http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...80466483109651 7 http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...32109213826487 8 http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...37817876098111 9 http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...00441415335208 10 http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...75755672124863 11 http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...15582457384580 and 12 http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...22124159839885 |

ok, so in my noobishness, i didnt realize that the thread was a review thread, so ill throw some words up on it. the only way that a user could possibly be displeased with it is if they do not know how to use it. it is simple, it is fast, and it is very efficient. warmup time is quoted at 2-3 minutes, but in reality it is more along the lines of >1 minute it is quiet, no hum from a fan or crinkling of a bag. neither of which may be anything of an issue when vaping during the day, but for people like me who have trouble falling and staying asleep, at 4 in the am when the girlfriend is sleeping, that crinkle may wake here. with a pair of small scissors handy(or even using the supplied pokey) you dont even need to grind the herb first, just load a bowl, take a couple hits, then chop it up. it is deffinately a convo peice, and when people hit it for the first time, they will get this giant stoned grin on their face. it reeeeeally brings out the true flavor of the particular strain. in a party type environment, when you show up with a surfer, you become the weedtender. because the unit is plugged in, it does not travel around to people like bowl or bag, the people must come to it. sitting in the circle, you realize that the ssv brings its own ritual to the table. it comes with a 3 year warranty. the only thing i cannot be sure of is whether the silver unit or the black units get you higher. i must go now to resume that experiment.

Yeah, a fellow SSV bud. I just saw the Black SSV up on the site the other day, and their pics did it no justice. I love the shots you have up of yours. I want to get one, just to have a second one as back up. or as a road tripper. I like whaqt you added to my little review too. Have you tried the Ice Chamber or the bubbler attachment yet. I dig m ice chamber and have tried my friends bubbler. I like the way the ice chamber hits, a lot better and so much more compact. I need to watch some more of those vids tonight. See if I can learn a few more things. And yes, keep up the experimenting and please publish the results ![]()

Funny ass videos dude, and I even pulled out some nuggets of info along the way. I am now a bowl rotater. Started doing that last night. I'll have to try the puffing type hits sometime. I have always done a straight draw, no puff. Oh yeah, and that first hit after the stir is the best! And bumping the heat up as the load gets old, is a great idea. Thanks for all the tips and posting those vids!

"And bumping the heat up as the load gets old, is a great idea." That depends on your goal. Once you're at a good vaping temp, increasing the temp won't get you additional THC. You'll get some CBNs, but also some toxins that you get with smoking.
