I also get a very sleepy high. I have a herbalAire h2.1 and I normally vape around 350.

I don't know. That's not the norm. Maybe it's the strain you're vaping? You're certainly not vaping too hot. You could even turn it up 15-20 degrees and still avoid those compounds that tend to produce drowsiness.

Just tried the mini myself, vaping at 340.

Not much visible vapour, and after the glass-tippd whips I've been doing, it tasted rather plasticy.

I'm going to try something though - put the mouthpiece and tubes into hot water for a bit. I did this with the Vapir tubes, and it did get rid of the taste.

The buzz is there though, for sure. Kinda made me a bit drowsy, and this is compared to the other vape I used. The leftover duff is not that brown, but you get a zillion hits off a pinch. My throat did get a little irritated and my nose a little stuffy. I'm thinking I should maybe run it high for a few minutes to burn off some residual oils again like with the Vapir.

The battery gets pretty hot, so make sure you take it out of the paper pack when you charge it. It may have some silicon on it - just yank that stuff off. It uses telephone wires and connections for power connectivity, so I'm monitoring carefully.

As it stands now, I'd say it's better than smoking, and you get a good buzz off enough to fill a cigarette sized one-hitter. This will probably be my backup piece, or to be used at parties etc.

So - I tried the above measures and the taste improved. Nowhere as sweet as glass, but I got some good hits. Because the flavour is obscured and you can't see, gauging when to quit is an issue for me, unless I start to cough. I get about 6 hits from a pinch of finely ground herb, and a decent buzz.

If only could get that taste thing licked...

Hi djelimon, I'm just wondering if you or Daneca ever came across the pre-use instructions for the Oxygen Mini? It's not on the Air-2 site, but it basically says to put any other kind of aromatherapy herb in the chamber and then to heat the Mini to max temp for ~10 minutes. They specifically tell you not to inhale during the heat-cleaning process. These instructions used to be on the gotvape reseller site up until recently. Not sure where they got it from, but it sounded like good advice.

I don't know why Vapir didn't put this information up itself as it seems as if it would address the plasticky taste. A few other vaporizers suggest "heat cleaning" to remove manufacture residue and oils from the chambers and heating elements. If your mini still tastes funny, maybe you could try running it on empty for a few minutes.

Mine will be arriving soon and I'll try out the "heat-cleaning" method they used to suggest. I'll let u guys know if it makes any appreciable difference of quality on the first hit.
