That 250 is just the arbitrary starting target temp.. no there is no way to change that ... other than hitting the 'up' button and adjusting that to the magic 360- 390 range. I don't see a problem there ... just takes a few seconds...I just tested mine .. takes about 15 seconds to adjust it from 250 to 377 .. now, it does take some time for the unit to warm up to that temp. see above post. mtm

I just said that it takes that long to get back up into that range. I don't frankly know how much vapor I get at that temp.. the unit doesn't produce heavy visible vapor. I have the unit set for 375 as a target temp... as stated above the digital readout fluctuates somewhat wildly before settling down to the range that gives us the green light. But I just went through about a pea size budaroo... and I am once again very pleased with this machine. It's not a party pipe ... especially on a battery pack. I had the opportunity to try the Oxygens big brother the Vapir one.. it worked fine iow, I got where I like to be... .. there were features that I sorta liked...digital readout was nice.. like the preload chambers.. this is more of a party pipe. I am not a bag fan... BUT I don't like the blower thing...cords and tubes every where... a disaster to deal with... the material was cooked a bit more than I like.. wouldn't buy one ... the hassles with this far out weigh the plus sides. IMHO. Still a fan of the oxygen for what it is... mtm Last edited by morethanmagic : 04-26-2008 at 09:04 PM.

| hm portability experience i wonder if i should repair my supreme vape (digital temp broke and need a new torch lighter) or spring for one of these... honestly i don't mind the reloading aspect i got solutions for that... i just don't dig the plastic taste even though after these guys heated the damn things over and over again and still get a plastic taste! i mean c'mon why!

that uncomfortable awful plastic thing was really rather shortlived.... I have been using this machine for months now and that plastic taste is a thing of the past. and the way to deal with that has been beat to death above.. supreme needs a lighter.. +/- ? up to you. oxygen is convection. big + for me.. oxygen has digital readout and ready lights .. nice + oxygen is relatively inexpensive compared to hot boxes.. bottom line.. ...to each his own.. don't like it .. .don't buy it.. you can read above how I feel about the overall performance of this unit. mtm

Just got mine 2day. It does take some getting use to, but I'll be using it often so practice isn't a problem.. I agree with most of what was said above, but the plastic taste wasn't as bad for me as it was for some. I loved the water bong attachment! Overall, it's sick.
