I've never used a vaporizer except this one, so it's not an educated review. I have to say I like it though. It could just be the strain I'm smoking, but I seem to get an extremely sleepy high when vaporizing. Which is good when I smoke at night, but agonizing if smoked during the daytime.

It seems to conserve the herb pretty well, I'll put very little (VERY) substance in and it can be passed between 4 people twice at least.

The taste is kind of strange (again, could be strain). Leaves a strange taste in the back of my mouth.

It should be noted that I usually vaporize AND smoke a little bit, they seem to compliment each other.

Vaping is definitely NOT a sleepy high unless your temp is too high. The compounds that come with high heat and/or combustion are responsible for the lethargy associated with the smoking high. Your temp may be too high or you may be trying to stretch it too far. Just guessing, but 8 hits off a "very little" seems excessive.

Strange taste? OK. I guess you could call it that. Consensus is that it's delicious compared to smoked weed though.

Since it has a digital display you could tell us what setting you're using. How long does it take to reach operating temp? Is it hard to clean? Does it operate only with the external battery pack? Does that make it hard to handle?

I've been vaping at 385 F. That might be too high, you're right.
I think the sleepiness might be due to the quality of the weed as well, mine's pretty low quality right now.

I think the taste is mainly the plastic.

It doesn't take very long at all to heat up. Maybe 1-2 minutes. It will however drop 30 or so degrees every now and then and have to heat back up. This is however indicated by a red light (signaling that it's heating back up to desired temperature)

Cleaning is very easy, it comes with a wire brush which easily scoops out any debirs. It also comes with a little tiny spoon to put in herbs.

It comes with an external battery pack and a wall plug-in. The battery pack supposedly an hour of heating (haven't tried it out).
The battery pack has a long cord so it makes it rather convenient.

How large is the battery pack? Can you fit it in your pocket? Also, how loud is the fan? Could you realistically take it into a movie theater and vape up while a movie is playing without disturbing anyone?

The Oxygen Mini has no fan, and the battery pack is 10 AA size (probably metal hydride) batteries in a pack that will fit in your pocket (unless your jeans are really tight ). So there's no reason you couldn't use it in a movie theater unless there's someone sitting beside you who wants to know what you're sucking on and what that funny smell is.
