|  Moist Vs. Dry I just got a Z of some great looking mids. They are a bit dry and compressed though. Its hard to tell if the weed is finished after vaping it. I'm wondering if I would improve my situation by moistening the bud with some orange peel in a jar? |

| the herb that is dryest vapes best. are you thoroughly grinding it before loading it?

| Eyeballing herbs to determine if they are fully vaped is an challenge in itself. It's very hard to tell by looking if there is an additional 20% still left. Any vaped herb will be brown the question is what color of brown means you got it all, and with all the varieties of herbs and how well they have been ground up, it's sure not a ABC thing. One ultimate way is to put it in your palm and grind it with your fingers if you think there is any left, it should become almost a powder(but with stem chunks) this will open the herb up for the very last amount and once vaped will be on the very dark brown side. It seems kinda over kill or messy but the herb is so dry that it wont stick to your palm, if you have a towel handy you can virtually wipe your hands free with none left on them.
__________________ I only smoke legal herbs, when I come to these forums and discuss things like smoking and the high one gets I'm referring to the feeling I get from legal herbs and have no information on what others are smokeing or reffering to. I don't smoke marijuana but do enjoy discussing and talking about legal herbs and the high from different legal smoking methods and all my post should be viewed in that light. |

| Thanks for the input. I do grind well. There is definitly an art to knowing for sure if you've completely vaped your herb. Probably my biggest mistake is over packing my whip. |

| If your weed is moist, the first few hits off the vape will be water vapor. Water vaporizes at a much lower temperature and it cools off the rest of the load as it evaporates. You won't get much THC vapor until the water has all cooked off.
